What are some fights that you initially didn't care for or wasn't particularly that fond of before but has since started to grow on you upon re-watching? Doesn't have to be a particularly terrible fight but just a fight that you personally found dull, uneventful, underwhelming or disappointing when you first watched it, chose not to watch it for awhile, but now have a better appreciation for it after giving it another viewing? I didn't really care too much about Andre Ward vs Carl Froch at first viewing, although it did have more to do with frustration of Froch failing to make it war and tough fight. It was a good performance from Ward but not a fight I would ever want to watch again, like with most Ward fights. Watched it again recently and I am starting to warm up to it and seeing the brilliance that Ward displays, he pretty much controlled the entirety of the fight. I always found Ward ugly to watch but this is one of the few fights from him that I would give another watch just to appreciate his skills.
Trinidad vs. ODH When I first watched it I thought it was boring and that ODH won easily. But upon further watches, I've learned to appreciate it more. And not just the steady work from Trinidad, but also the careful tactics from ODH. It's actually a really good cat and mouse matchup.
These two jotos are scared to lose that undefeated record. If they were around in the 80's and 90's the fight would have been made without a second thought.
I'm gonna give a really surprising response because any forum veterans will know I hated this guy.... Spaddy vs Pito Cardona. It's actually a really enjoyable boxing clinic. Spadafora never again fought at that high a level.
Finally something we can agree on. Back then people called him Slapdafora because he literally punched like bitch.
Because of Dorin. Every other spadafora fight is average at best and mindnumbingly, sleep induncingly dull at worst.
