Sellik 7 injuries going into saturday - all 7 happened across the last two international breaks. Another round of games over the next two days. Argh.

220.4lbs today. Another 4 pounder week.

Scale says it's all muscle :Jest: but my hydration is low and we know that skews things.

Tried on an old LFC shirt, fits handy. Old work shirts are looser than they were 8 years ago.

My target was always 200 by January 1st. That's well within grasp by now so I might pare things back a bit.

Had a parmesan cheese Bolognese for breakfast and the heat rushed into my face. Usually a good sign of famishment. Burger in the oven. Sugar in my coffee. Barbaric.

I think working tired and then banging in an hour long walk, going periods of 12 hours plus with no food have all contributed.

3 straight weeks of 5,4,4 was unthinkable at the beginning, I was grateful for 1.5 to 2.0.

I guess Man United have made a bit of a come back. But this season is gonna be a roller coaster.

I guess City are favorites but you never know.

I feel like there's going to be more drama/excitement in the PL this season than you usually see.

The two North London teams hanging around the top. Man U with the horrible start and bounce back. Man City with Haaland minus two stars that moved on. Liverpool still strong but struggling without Mane. Chelsea spending half a trillion pounds this summer then axing the manager. Brighton off to a good start then losing their manager. Newcastle with all the new money but not off to the greatest start. Leicester off to a terrible start. Forest signing 100 players this summer and still looking like they don't belong in the league.

Will be interesting to see if Man Utd can remain consistent throughout the season. I don't think they will. They'll draw too many games and lose to teams in the bottom half of the table, like they've done in recent years.

I just don't see Citeh slipping up. Haaland is a beast and he'll continue scoring a shed load of goals. Missing ingredient to win the UCL also? I would think so. If they can't win the Champions League with Haaland, they never will.

Isak now injured for Newcastle. Could be out for a little while. Their injuries are a concern.

Brighton may score more goals under a new boss but I think they're going to leak a fair bit more now.

Wilson is better than Isak. If he's back, we start winning games.

Our squad is still very thin. Ten years of no investment cannot be undone in a year. I've said it before and will repeat. Let's see where we are in three years.

    Sounds like excuses to me.....

I know exactly what you mean. Post Hodgson and Hicks/Gillette , Liverpool Liverpool still needed 8 years to get into consistent contention , not just that 13/14 flash in the pan....

...everybody has money and everybody is throwing it around.

Liverpool 0-2 Brighton. Sounds like Brighton will score more the way they're playing.

I don't. Never even considered him. Maybe I ought to as it does indeed look like Brighton are going to score plenty of goals (and concede them).

I wonder if there are any leagues where people try to assemble the worst possible side and finish last. Even with that i guess you would need some additional rules. For example not just subbing in players who suffered a long term injury.

Big win for Arsenal today. Liverpool up next. A win would be huge.

Sick over the Chelsea last second winner. Palace is going down.

Haha. I think they had two managers that season. They sacked their first manager as they were bottom of the table, two points behind 19th place. At the end of the season they finished bottom, 24 points behind 19th place.

Yeah Man U were never gonna get this one. Wouldn’t be surprised if City finish with 8 goals.
