Tank is a Cherry picker hasnt fought any top guys at 135. Not Lomachenko, not Teofimo, not a Haney or even Kombosos. And hes damn near 30. Oh wait if Canelo was a baby at 20 is Tank a full grown adult at 27 or is he a teenager lmao ????

I know you're not a Canelo fan but do you honestly believe Chocolatito has a better resume than Canelo?

 

A couple of things.

I don't believe Canelo is all that exciting, that however is opinion. But he's not Derrick "Smoke" Gainer levels of boring either.

He isn't a knockout artist, but GGG kept that right guard for a reason.

Canelo did not duck Charlo. Charlo was offered the fight, turned it down. His own brother clowned him for it. This one is a FACT.

Canelo does have the best resume in boxing, there's not even a close 2nd. Hard to call a fighter a cherry picker in that sense. Even though he's one of the most active fighters, he can't fight everyone.

Now that he will be out for a year, I want to see what these other fighter's are going to do. Andrade, GGG, Charlo, Benavidez etc...

Most fighters who start at 15, start declining in their early 30's. Canelo will be 33 when he comes back, his best years after behind him.

He's a great fighter and that is your opinion aswell as the scared straight man child. But I would say you are in the minority. Most people agree Canelo and Pacquio have the best resume out of any active fighters.

Every great fighter has Eurobums on their resume. Roy and Ward had their share of UK/Eurobums on their resume. Uk fighters specially make for great punching bags(Liam Smith,Callum Smith, Saunders, Fielding, Hatton, Khan) .

They were still world champions even if they were paper champions. It says he beat a world champion every year since 2010. That's not a lie. How many champions has Gervontae Davis beat? Or Charlo or Andrade? Or Spence or Crawford? You can call Canelo a cherry picker all day long but his resume is still better than the rest. At the end of the day Canelo's career/resume can only be evaluated when compared to his peers. As in fighters of his era. Guys in or around his age group.

How does he fare vs those guys. And if you say hes cherry picking give me an example of one of his peers that is fighting better opponents and beating better opponents and isnt cherry picking.

The grass is always greener but if you look at who Canelo just fought that wasnt a cherry pick. Bivol was solid champion and opponent. That doesnt seem like what a cherry picker would do. Move up to 175 and take on arguably the 2nd or best champ in the division. At some point all this dribble gets old and annoying.

 

Agreed, hate him or love him, no active fighter has a resume as good as Canelo's , Donaire's probably second best imo. Usyk and Chocolatito aren't even close. Claiming so is a major reach
