I agree but there's a context here....the guy was trying to "ask a question" on the basis that he was justified in that his source was 1. German and 2. Ex Liverpool.....

....klopps manner and tone were sour and frankly threatening but the "question" was very coy in its delivery

That pretty much proves the point. There's
a lack of quality up top. I'll add this, too. There is a lack of quality at the back as well.

So, could be worse. Could be Rangers. Fucking hell.

It was a perfectly legitimate question, raised by a well-respected ex-player. A former CL winner, no less.

Klopp is turning into a snidey little cunt.

Hang on....Hamann didn't ask Klopp anything.

The reporter asked a question on the basis of something he says somebody else (Hamann) said.

I go back to that which I said a few weeks ago. The step up from the Scottish PL and this is cavernous. CL sides have done to Rangers and Celtic what they do weekly to the farmer teams in that league.

Both clubs need to have a long hard look at what had happened and where they are. Neither of those clubs should be getting smashed weekly like this. Something needs to change, unless they are happy to just beat one another every season or so and collect various domestic trinkets.

It happens all time time. Pundits do their punditry thing and reporters out them to players/managers. Klopp acted like he was the first cunt to ever have a former player's comment put to him and he responded by falsely claiming that the pundit in question was some kind of clueless mook.

    Agreed on this:-

McCoist is the best pundit on telly

You'll learn nothing beating minnows weekly

Klopp is saucy but .... This isn't dollymixtures and pocket money either

Well Hamann doesn't know what's going on at Liverpool but again I agree, Klopp needs to learn how to straight bat questions a lot better than that. Give a non-answer and smile and keep moving. Remember....I used to criticise him here a lot too.

I like Coisty. Comes across as a genuine bloke and talks a lot of sense.

It's actually worse than that. Hammering rubbish in that dreadful league has deluded Celtic and Rangers into thinking they are much better sides than they actually are, especially at this level. They both been badly outgunned but also very naive. They both taken the kind of hammering that neither should be taking, from anyone, ever.

Hard to believe that Rangers reached the UEFA Cup final last year. Jesus.

While I can see Hoot's point re: poor finishing, the really striking feature has been how poorly both Celtic and Rangers have defended against this level of player. They've been ripped apart at the back, over and over and over. Look at the way Salah scored that hattrick. He's done whatever he wanted with the ball - no-one got anywhere near him. Firmino's first goal tonight. He just nodded the ball in from a yard out with no worthwhile challenge on him. The second Dortmond goal last night as well. Forsburg had all the time in the world to control, move the ball round and bury it. He was stood, middle of the Celtic box with half a dozen hooped shirts round him, and he had all the time he needed to do exactly what he wanted.

Playing against blokes who came from the National League or the English 4th division is no preparation for playing blokes at this level. None.

I would add a couple of qualifications:

Celtic have been much much better than Rangers....Rangers have scored 9ncevand conceded 16 I think.

Eintracht, who needed penalties to beat Rangers, have been much much better in their group.

Rangers are great over 2 legs against the much weaker opposition that is Eindhoven and Braga or Red Star Transylvania etc .

Rangers also had great experience under Gerrard in Europe and put it to great use last year.

In the CL, they simply never got going at all. They thrive off momentum and once they lost traction , they were done.

Yeah that's been the real difference.....Salah 2nd goal tonight he actually stud rolled it before he scooped it....it's like the European Honeybee, it has no idea how to deal with foreign hornets that blow in on the wind..it never evolved a defence mechanism, it never had to.

Same for a Celtic or a Rangers, how do you develop a defence mechanism in the absence of a threat?

    You can't.

That's all fair. Celtic have been vaguely competitive in their three losses and some quality up front probably gives them a chance to pick up a few points. But their defense is still shipping far too many soft goals, and they've not played Real away yet...

Great weekend of sport coming up. You all know that I'm a big Rugby League fan too. The World Cup starts this weekend. The T20 Cricket World Cup also starts this weekend. Big game on Sunday between Liverpool and Citeh. I'll also be watching Shields-Marshall on Saturday. Going to get my German Aldi beers in tomorrow, plus mixture of different flavoured crisps. A few bets are in order aswell. Bliss.

Like Rugby League but the WC is poor, really. It's the same every time - Eng, NZ and Aus beat the crap out of everyone and then, at the end, Aus win (I know NZ won one a few turns ago). The lack of depth internationally is crazy.

The likes of Tonga, Fiji, Samoa and Papua New Guinea on their day are a test for the big boys. Tonga came within a whisker of making the 2017 World Cup final after storming back against England in the semis. Really looking forward to England-Samoa on Saturday. That's being played at St. James' Park.

But yeah, France, Ireland, Scotland, Italy, Lebanon, etc, are all not very good.

I made £44 at the weekend in Arsenal and Roulette. Small Victories .I've given up the crisps myself albeit I got my hands on some Polish chocco last night ..

Where's your Aldi? I think there's a Lidl in Twickenham, St Margaret's end but that's it for me :Jest:

Polish girl just brought back mega booze from Poland , fridge just looks like a Junkie polacks delight, filled with strange names and strange meats. I don't touch it myself but it often touches me lol

I'll watch Marshall fight but I'll probably crap my drawers all Sunday but I would LOVE IT LOVE IT if we beat them.....

Bad News: didn't lose a pound last week

Good News: scales says my visceral fat is down to 12.5, my hydration is 52.5% and my muscle is 152lbs

Overall body fat is 26%, down from 35%

So .... I know I've eased up on exercise and hugely increased protein intake

Still, the target was 200lbs so as good as things have been I'll just have to abandon all ideas of maintaining all lean tissue

Housemates haven't seen me since late July all say I look totally different. Local kebab guy says I've lost weight. Obviously I'm still a cunt but that's a totally different matter lol

That said the target was 200 so back to work we gotta lotta work to do.....

Still seems like good going- these things tend to progress in spurts. Rebekas gone keto(ish) the last couple of months which she's emjoying. Basically meat/eggs, fibrous veg, a bit of gin and fuck all else. She's lost about eight-ten pounds and says she's never hungry. She was 136 this morning, aiming for 130.

Lean mass includes water (everything which isn't fat) so that'll always gonna go down some with fat loss. You could probably gain enough muscle to offset it with some good strength training tho! If you're doing it from home a heavy kettlebell for squats and swings, a rucksack & some plates for weighted push ups and a chin up bar could cover the bases. A ten quid 'chest expander' devise from amazon as bonus for some variety (the pre-70s strongmen all used it its class, super versatile). I'll be back next month to make the pitch again!:Jest:

DESVELADO: The mount that the Barça paid by the signing of Neymar Jr

I’ve been a die hard Barcelona fan since the 90s days of Romario and all. And I always had a bad feeling about the whole Neymar transfer. And sure we did win trophies with him, but it was a circus. From the summer long transfer uncertainty, to the constant extracurricular media attention and to when he left for France, and the rumors linking him for a return. No thank you.

Let Real have him if he’s coming back to Spain.

Got a big padel tournament on Saturday. Took part in a tourney this evening to warm up for it. Went out in the group stage but had some really good matches, lost two on tie-breaks. Been out of the game for a while and thought I'd be blowing out my arse as it was a good level but the stamina held up OK.
