It's a really weird season. City look by far the best team player for player but Arsenal are just getting results, which is obviously the thing you need to do. Don't get me wrong, they're obviously a fantastic side in their own right (much better than I expected them to be, prior to the season starting), but you'd expect the team with the guy breaking all kinds of goalscoring records to be way out in front.

I disagree. Results don't matter. Just declare your team the best and dismiss not getting the results as bad luck.

Hahaha I know what you mean, obviously it is the number one thing, I'm just surprised the team getting results is NOT the one with the guy obliterating the goalscoring records. It's not like City are losing loads of silly games either, they've only lost two. It's just any dropped points through silly draws like yesterday are getting ruthlessly punished by Arsenal (of all teams, who have had a reputation for being lightweight since 2004). I'm not complaining though, I can't stand the likes of City or PSG and Arsenal are a genuinely great club, so good on them.

Yeah not sure what's happening with City as i haven't watched the games recently. Early on from what i did see was a dominant team made even more absurd with the addition of Haaland. Not sure if they're relying on him too much for goals but it's what it appears like when only looking at the score-lines.

That's the weird thing, they're not even playing bad. Only the Brentford game was a poor performance, it's just Arsenal have been insanely consistent thus far.

Pretty disjointed game and performance and we come away happier with the point than them. One of those games that really illustrates the mysterious power of 'momentum' in fitbaw: sellik absolutely coasting, crowd quiet until joe hart blunders a backpass, they hit the post, get a corner & the crowd and their tales go up. Never quite got a solid grip on things thereafter. But i think that kyogo goal pretty much secures the league so let them keep their wee beale honeymoon glow

Sort of game that's been typical of Celtics performance in big games , especially Europe, this season. More than capable of pulling away, and don't.

Concur with Hut....it keeps Rangers outside sticking distance and basically requires Celtic to fuck it up now for Rangers to have any chance.

Ive pitched up for a pint outside a pub in finnieston and a bunch of them have took the next table. A 25 stone monstrosity in an orange tshirt with union jack trim doing most of the talking. They all seem to be loving life. Brimming with optimism that they've turned some sort of corner. Bless. Somebody ought to tell him its Minus Nine, get a jacket on.

Absolutely nothing surprising about this first half Vs Brentford.....Liverpool got away with it vs Villa and then REALLY got away with it vs Leicester..

Arsenal need to spend some fucking money and go after the title. Loan Felitx and buy Mudryk. These deals should have been announced YESTERDAY.

While i agree they should strike now, you have to be confident whomever you sign can make an immediate impact with so little time to acclimate. January transfers can be risky and you don't want to unbalance the squad.

Mudryk is in their long term plan regardless. Felix is a dream signing but I think worth the 6 month trial to see if he can fit it. Which he definitely should. Then break the bank to sign him in summer.

Wouldn't touch Felix, who are you going to leave out to give him game time (he will expect to start) ? Odegaard?
Mudryk is a better bet as he shouldn't expect to start each game

To be fair, he was an outstanding defender. The best defender in the world? Not for me, but he was certainly up there in the conversation at one point (not all time, just for the record, but compared to his contemporaries). I think Ashley Cole was the only English player you could unequivocally say was the best player in his position when he was at his peak.

Im not sure id group this one with those...in several of those games we were really on it for the first hour, just inexplicably profligate in front of goal. A combination of nerves and pure luck had us underperforming xg massively. Yesterday - besides a wee period of neat but aimless possession fitbaw- we were just pish and ended up outperforming it after creating next to nothing. Im hearing that half the squad had the flu and i can believe it. Juranovic having to come on at left back seemed to throw the whole jenga tower into a wobbily tilt too. Just one of those days where you're happy to grab your point, wipe your brow and speedwalk out of there

Can't agree man...we dominated shaktar away and kept fluffing our lines, we created nothing yesterday bar the total pinball good fortune of the two goals. In fact probably the least we've created in any game under Ange domestic or European. Just weren't at it. DOCTORS WARN: FLU IS BACK! SELLIK ATTACK IN CRISIS AS FLU RETURNS

Great player but undeniably either a screw loose or some extreme personality traits, you can see that sports media usually keeps distance from him at this point

I’ve read some rather questionable reports linking him to Benzema… But I doubt it happens as his best days are surely behind him.
