This is the first TRUE litmus test for Benn. Might be a bit of a stretch for a pick but... I'm gonna go with Benn to stop Ramirez. I think he's too big and powerful.
I'd agree with that. Despite being a big step up, it's a favourable match-up. Ramirez is easy to hit and isn't granite chinned. Benn is a big puncher and quite sharp. Expecting fireworks though, Benn's chin isn't great.
Ramirez also has no clue how to clinch when he does get seriously hurt. Conor, like his ole man, is a good finisher. Yeah, I think Benn wins by TKO inside of 8, in a war while it lasts.
I’m gonna go with Benn. I still have my doubts about him and I think he’s easy pickings for the likes of Ennis, Spence, Crawford, Ortiz, etc.
Benn is the classic loses to the best, beats the rest fighter, along with a few surprises at either end of the spectrum. He'll beat somebody better than him and lose to somebody lesser than him along the way.
Benn will do just fine at 147 as long as they keep him the fuck away from Boots. What i suspect will eventually happen is Benn vs Taylor.
I'd be confident in taking Taylor. He's a lot sharper and smarter than Ramirez is, and I expect Ramirez to give Benn a good fight.
Have to see Josh at 147 first. He's been buzzed by guys like Baranchyk though, so l dunno... Wouldn't be surprised if Conor's firepower was too much.
He does. Ill give Josh one chance to establish that he was drained vs that guy whose name i cant remember then I'll bet on Benn to stop him.
Good lad..... I dont hate the song, i just hate how everyone consents to singing it like hypnotized mongs.
Who are absolutely past their best and not on the radar so far as any elite level is concerned. A Taylor fight with those guys just wont cut it witb people who know the score. So Taylor might beat them but it wont fool anyone.
I think Taylor has peaked. It's not like he's 24-25. I think the Progais and Ramirez performances are the best we'll ever see of him. I don't think he'll age gracefully, because his defense is pretty shitty. Crawford and Spence are aging well, but they're much higher level talents than Josh.
Crawford has the ring IQ to stick around for many years, I think. Sure, he's an incredibly snappy and athletic fighter, but he's also one of the smartest in the world and unlike Usyk and Loma, he isn't marred by injury. I think he's one of the guys who can adapt his style and stick around quite a while.
Taylors got facial issues aggravated by having Scottish skin and chiseled features..but his biggest problem is he's an asshole that doesn't think very well in there....he out toughed Prograis and he out-powered Ramirez....against that unknown guy he was reacting bad because he was drained but he was getting hit because he was just not thinking. He applied the same old plan and when it didn't work, he applied it some more. Simply not gonna work at the upper levels.
Even if you chalk the Catterall fight up to Josh not being at his best, the sheer volume of left hands Jack found him with let's you know that Taylor wouldn't have a prayer against Crawford, Spence, or Ennis.
