Pretty much the way it's always been. Technology doesn't change things as much as people think. There will always be some room left for interpretation.

 

There seems more room for interepation now than ever, both with offside and handball.

 

It's just more egregious because of what the technology was supposed to achieve.

The problem is if the rules are clear as day, occasionally the wrong decision can be made. The right side might be victim to undesirable things like objectivity.

It's like a court case with a popular wealthy individual or business vs the opposition who is less so, or might have some inconvenient timing.

If video evidence is cut and dry and also wanted outcome -> video evidence is cut and dry. Cannot argue with evidence.

Unwanted outcome -> evidence is open to interpretation.
