    RIGHT AFTER the world Cup

As Joe Barton would say "went to the world cup, played shit, read my book"

Something certainly clicked for him at the World Cup and he's carried it forward into club football. I didn't see his goal yesterday but the strike against Arsenal was really well taken. I don't expect it to last, personally, but yeah he's doing well.

Not relevant to most you guys, but MLS moved all its games over to Apple TV for the next 10-12 years. I'm probably going to drop $100 next month to watch the season in full.

If you guys are interested in the finances of football, follow @swissramble on twitter. As a fan of US sports, European football deals are so different from what we are used to.

I think he's a lad who does well when the pressure is off. Really a very good footballer who doesn't like attention as much as he thinks he does. It was palpable-to me at least- that post WC there was a concerted effort by the rags to recuperate certain players, Kane included, rather than castigate them. A welcome shift perhaps but the pendulums gone a bit far the other way, for me.

I've decided to migrate to having 7.5k as my standard distance now..

Rationale? It will probably help me beat my 5k times, it's longer than 5k, and it's half-way from 5k to 10k which leaves me better-placed for more regular cracks at the 10k.

We only have two players fit enough to play Bielsa ball and one of them is on the verge of being sold. Not a good fit.

When we lost to Wolves after the break, Docoure got subbed in and was only on the pitch 18 seconds. He was jogging back when they scored the last second game winner.

Imagine being paid millions to play a sport and you don't have it in you to sprint for 18 seconds. Everton that.

Agreed, somebody like Bielsa would want a whole summer to get his own players in, clear out the bad apples etc. Definitely not a 'patch up a leaky boat and get it to shore' appointment

I had a feeling this would be said.....I did suspect- and it was my only hope- that he'd unbalance them.

He hasn't made them "worse" by a long chalk.

He's still an epic player. I'd love if LFC had signed him.

And if they win the ECL, all this talk will go away.

Probably old news to most but i just read that back when he was newell boss in argentina they got an absolutely tonking and the ultras showed up at his home that night and refused to leave. Eventually he came out in his underwear with a grenade and said he'd pull the pin if they didnt fuck off.

I hope Chelsea swoops in for Caicedo and pay 80m. I don't want Arsenal to buy him with an opening bid of 60m. He's played only 26 games. Best to shop outside of the PL.

It's a small world but rather odd how Chelsea seem to be interested in every player Arsenal is. They should communicate that they're heavily interested in some Vietnamese kid who is the next Messi from some youth club in Hanoi. Allow Chelsea to "outbid" them and pay hundreds of millions for some child who just learned how to kick a ball.

It's weird to say after a loss, but I think Arsenal are better than City. They played most of their starters and we didn't. Their bench is incredible though. Ours is weak at the moment. That's why I want to focus on the league only. Forget cups and Europa.

That would be ideal really. They bid 55 million for Caicedo first though. Arsenal bid 60m. Now Caicedo is making it public that he wants to move. He's on 15k a week and is in line to get 100k a week so of course he wants to move. I don't think he's worth over 35m. I'd pay 40m because it's January but no more.

Moving to Shepherd's Bush in March, couple of roads down from Loftus Road AKA Paradise. Love it.

    Anyways I turned £15 into £70 .

Went to the park today and measured the distances I was running this time last year.

50 times between to sets of goalposts on a kiddy pitch,I was doing that before I fucked off to Scotland to see Hut, March 2023.

Ran 4 lengths today and the watch said 0.2km.

So 50 times, which I thought was epic then......is 2.5km :Jest:

I thought that was a good hard run then :Jest:
