Fight is this Saturday. Yarde pretty much has no chance, but we can at least have a good indicator to see if Beterbiev is still fresh enough to be a threat to Bivol.
Yarde has a punchers chance.....my doubts are related to how well how he did Vs Kovalev. That he had Kovalev hanging by a thread was impressive. That he failed to finish him, gassed, and got KOd by a jab was not.
We'll see how he looks against Yarde. He looked fine against Smith. I think at his best he'll break down Bivol. Beter ain't Canelo or Zurdo.
Stylistically he would be a nightmare even for a brilliant fighter like Bivol. But age will always be a significant factor considering that he's already 38 years old.
Better is going to batter him but I'll put a tenner on Antnee just in case. We've already had one shock KO when Autism knocked out Sebastian.
Beterbiev is ripe to lose this year. Yarde got an outside shot early but he's mediocre at best https://twitter.com/LinealBoxChamp/status/1618320953007804418?t=_WHI8TDKh8K2sPC_0SDDqA&s=19
Yarde is pretty much garbage imo, and that he was able to give a fight to Kovalev was a testament of how much Krusha had slipped. Beterbiev chin is still fairly unproven, and Yarde has a decent wallop, but I d be shocked if it s anything else than a mugging in. Beterbiev s favor
I think Yarde does have some potential but instead of letting him develop, him or his manager want to cash out quickly. Yarde hits hard but as Joe Smith Jr bout proved, that alone won't be enough against Beterbiev
Like Marcus Browne, Anthony Yarde May Pocket an Early Round or 3 By Virtue of Superior Speed, Fast Twitch Ability… But Also Like Browne, There’ll Come a Time When Beterbiev’s Acclimated Himself to the AFFletic Difference, at Which Point Yarde’s Ass is Grass… In the Meantime, Beterbiev Will Be Content BANGING Away at Yarde’s Arms, Shoulders, Wherever He Can Land Until the HEAD Shots Eventually Present Themselves… Can’t See This Going Past 6-7 Rounds and if it Does, Yarde Will Sustain an EPIC Ass Whupping in the Process… REED
While Age is Always DICEY For Fighters 30+, REED Doesn’t See it as a MAJOR Factor as it Pertains to Beterbiev…He Doesn’t Possess a YOUTHFUL, ENERGETIC Manner of Fighting… REED Would Be MUCH More Concerned w/a Style Like Lomachenko’s at 38, or Usyk’s at 38… REED Thinks Beterbiev Could Milk 2023 and Possibly 2024 Before NOTICEABLE Signs of Decline Set In… And if the Bivol Fight Happens, REED Favors Beterbiev by Late, Come from Behind Stoppage…Bivol Will Be Ahead, it’ll Be Apparent Beterbiev Needs a KO to Win and He’ll Make it Happen… REED
Bivol vs Beterbiev will be the type of fight where one guy is Jack of all trades -type whereas the other knows only one way to fight but it is a helluva way. At this point I'd pick Bivol. Based on what I saw of him in amateurs, there might still unseen potential in him, if he is pushed to the limit
