One of my all time favorite clinical beatdowns, and truthfully, one of the best clinical beatdowns in history IMO. I think this particular version of Pedroza would have a chance at beating any featherweight in history, and would beat MOST of them.
Definitely the best performance I’ve seen from Pedroza. He simply broke Ford down with the body attack, and made him miss a lot. Pedroza-Sanchez is one of those 50-50 mythical matchups to me, along with Spinks-Foster
It's cool how common opponents differed against Pedroza and Sanchez: Ford gave Sanchez a tough fight. Pedroza destroyed Ford. Laporte gave Pedroza a tough fight. Sanchez utterly dominated Laporte.
That was peak Pedroza and his most complete performance. Just masterful boxing and very smooth, much like Laguna and Napoles. I have no doubt that he could have given even the great Salvador Sanchez a very tough fight. That was one of the biggest missed opportunity in boxing history.
