Both Fenech and Barrera weren’t quite at their best yet at 122 but they were still mean SOB, it’ll be a rough and tough brawl with Fenech eventually overwhelming Barrera with his workrate down the stretch.
Disregard the previous statement, that was actually a mistake on my part… I don’t know how I mixed up his run at 118 with his fights at 122. Peak Fenech was against Payakaroon which was indeed at 122. In that case, Fenech runs over and stops Barrera in round 6.
I think 6 is a bit much. This is a great fighter in Barrera we're talking here. I think Fenech TKO 11 is more realistic.
What do you think is the best way Barrera can fight Fenech? At 122, Barrera tended to stand and trade whereas he relied more on movement as he went up the divisions. Should he stay mobile or stand and trade?
