I would say: 1. Roy 2. Whitaker 3. Holy 4. Trinidad 5. Oscar HMs: Lewis, Chavez, Ricardo Lopez, Toney, Mosley, Naz.
No way is Holyfield that high based on what he did in the 90s. He was a heavyweight for the whole decade, and clearly overshadowed by Lennox
I'm not gonna argue too much as I'm no Holy defender, but Vander had the more significant wins in the decade. I don't have a problem if someone wants to put Lunnox top 5 instead.
Yeah, I try not to be too Euro-centric with these things - you ask a Brit in the 90s to list the 'top 90s fighters' and you're getting Lewis, Benn, Eubanks and Naz then A.N. Other. That is obviously wrong, but Lennox is a definite inclusion IMO. He was clearly the best HW on the planet at that time, in the last era when HW was a deep division. MTF
Lewis beat Holy, twice, in that period. Once as clear as day, the other close but clear. Resume only goes so far (accepting at face value that Holy had a better 90s run). If you beat the guy, twice, who beat all the other guys, you're THE guy. MTF
Roy, then Whitaker The rest of my top 5 is tougher and perhaps interchangeable. I guess I’d put Oscar 3rd. The remaining 2 is between Tito, Lennox, and Holyfield.
