I didn't have the Comms on because it was miles out of sync with the stream. Not sure what these were watching. I thought Wood was getting hurt in a lot of exchanges before the stoppage.

He'd have done him a round or two later. Plus with the knockdown, Woods lead on the cards had gone.

 

commentary was very biased to wood. he may have been slightly up. think it was froch and some other idiots

It's a world title fight. Wood was up on his feet and wanted to go on. He was hurt but the round was almost over. He was very much in the fight, even with the KD. I think it was early.

I agree. Very biased of them to note Lara's mouth was hanging open as he ate right hands and hooks from a British level fighter.

 

lara is nothing special. just an action fighter who beat a few british bums to pick up a belt.

fight wouldve been over a lot quicker if wood wasnt allowed to grapple anytime lara got close.

 

Fight would have been over sooner if his cardio camp didn't look like this....

 

If they stick Warrington back in with Lara he'll get iced, again.

Can't really see what Wood does different in a rematch. He was 'in' the fight but I didn't see this brilliant performance by Wood or a 'punch from the heavens'. Lara was fighting in spurts but he always looked the more likely to land the decisive punches

let wood and warrington battle it out for a shot at lara. id rather see him in with a different opponent. maybe robeisy ramirez.

Realistically, we all knew it was coming at some point.

 

That was a great action fight overall. Just when you think Wood was in control he gets dropped. Stoppage is probably a bit premature but I think Lara would have finished him anyways. Lived up to the hypez

 

It appeared the most likely. Wood was landing lots of punches but to no real effect. Lara was landing less but they were clearly more hurtful. I thought Wood started to look quite disorganised in the 5th. He tried to do what Warrington tried and failed - to out brawl a tougher, harder punching brawler.

But that doesn't mean Lara is any good.

I felt that way but I also kept in mind Ricky Burns performance vs Martinez and Katsidis where I was waiting for that killer blow that never came....

 

Bellend talking sense here. I still think it was a poor stoppage. Wood will fire Davison after that.
