Tank’s tendency to give rounds away makes this one interesting. I think Ryan would have been better suited to make this fight at 140.

The feeling you get is that Ryan has to be perfect for 12 rounds. Tank could be down 7-0 and still KO Ryan.

I’m gonna go with Tank via 6th round KO.

Hoping Ryan pulls it off, but I don’t see it.

I really really hope Ryan fucks this piece of shit up. I don't find Ryan all that bad as a person. His teeny bopper fanbase is annoying, but Ryan himself I think is a good dude. He's generally really respectful towards the media and his opponents.

Tank is a scumbag. I told my friends that I'm rockin with Ryan here, and they're on my case cause apparently im supposed to root for the Black fighter always, but nah, I don't roll that way. I tend to root against Black fighters who are walking stereotypes like Tank is.

WAR GARCIA! I know he has no chance, but I can dream.

    What a little bitch.

First truly big fight, and he's making sure it comes against a walking skeleton.

I hope Ryan knocks ices him Jackson-Graham style.

Pretty much where I’m at. Ryan has actually grown on me. He’s a bit on the immature side, but from what I see, he’s clearly wanted this fight and I think he’d be more likely to take on the likes of Shakur or Haney, whereas I don’t see Tank ever fighting those guys.

Make no mistake, Tank is the favorite. He should win. But I think Ryan has a chance, depending on his strategy and Tank’s out of the ring distractions. I’m not betting on it, but it could happen.

And I hope it does. WAR RYAN. Fuck this dude up PLEASE.

My head says that Ryan's chances are dismal.

If it were at 140, and no rehydrating clause? Then I would give Garcia an outside shot.

At basically 135, under these pussy ass stipulations, I think Ryan is a very huge underdog. He's been dropped by non-puncher Luke Campbell, and that was back when it was easier for him to make the weight.

Heart wants Ryan to deliver a beatdown. Head says that Tank will end him inside 6 or 7.

He's a young, good looking Latin star. Like Oscar was. Granted, Oscar was 500x the fighter Ryan will ever be, but my point is: Ryan is the type of kid you can put on talk shows, and will bring appeal to the sport even though he isn't particularly good. Tank can barely string a sentence together, and is always in trouble with the law.

Ryan winning would be better for the sport. Much better. It's all moot though. He won't win.

garcia even getting this opportunity is bad for boxing. it shows you dont have to do shit as far as beating actual legitimate opponents to get a big fight/payday. Im shocked as many so called boxing fans are hyped for this farce.

davis has hardly faced a murderers row of opposition but compared to this little fagget garcia his resume looks like pre '82 ray leonard.

I'm excited for it ONLY because it will be the biggest sporting event in the U.S. that week. A LOT of casuals are gonna watch this thing. I'm always rooting for the sport to have exposure, above all. Exposure of REAL boxers, not novices like Paul and T.Fury.

From a matchup point of view: I'm more excited for Lopez-Taylor and Fulton-Inoue.

I've been holding off on PPVs for awhile, but I'm gonna end up ordering Benavidez-Plant, Tank-Ryan, and Haney-Loma.

Probably gonna have a fight party around Davis-Garcia, since casuals don't care about the other two.

Tank vs Garcia is/will generate a lot of buzz....it will hyped up on ESPN, Radio, Barbershops ...millions will be watching.

And guess what?? It won't disappoint(like a lot of hype fights) it's going to be FAST and BRUTAL...a KO is guaranteed.

The kind of fight that make casual buy the next boxing PPV..

Are you forgetting that Ryan is four years younger?

You want to compare resume's with a fighter that's 28 and one that is 24?

What kind of resume do you expect from a 24 yr old fighter?

With all that said, hell one could argue that their resume's are on the same level.

Very low brow take there BTW.

I expect a 24 year old fighter who Ive been seeing on televised cards for 6 or 7 years now to have faced more than a single, solitary fringe top 10 opponent. now this is supposed to be the biggest fight in boxing? you motherfuckers standards sure have dropped.

It is the biggest fight of 2023 thus far from a MAINSTREAM attention standpoint. Like it or not, it just undeniably is.

It's not the best upcoming matchup - Taylor-Lopez is clearly the best fight coming up.

I don't get why you're so down on Tank-Garcia. It's good for the sport.

cuz garcia is a pussy just looking to cash out. as i have previously stated. that is what his career path leads me to believe.

    and also, likely, a cheat.

Garcia isn't some joke novice like Paul. He was an accomplished amateur and he's an unbeaten pro. Unbeaten 24-year-olds with decorated ammy careers have a level of confidence to them that you're not acknowledging.

I think he believes he can beat Davis. I don't think he can, but I think he believes it.

If he goes out in a fashion that leads me to believe he's cashing out, then I'll admit I was wrong. I think he'll down trying his hardest.

Thats the funny thing. He's just like Paul. if anything paul is more dedicated to the sport than garcia, despite his lack of an amateur career and talent.

I doubt he's cashing out. Doesn't he have hella baby mama's? He ain't making enough in this fight to retire and be set for life.

If he loses, he'll beat a few journeymen, and land another big fight.

There's always Rolly. A Garcia-Rolly matchup would sell well.

Thing about Tank is, he's not prime Tyson. That is to say, he isn't dominating guys AND knocking them out. He's knocking them out, but he's struggling.

That's why guys like Haney, Regis, and Shakur wanna get their hands on Tank. They see him as flawed and beatable. I think Ryan sees him as flawed as well, and he thinks he can take him.

I think Garcia believes he could land a big shot and KO him, and that he is going to be juiced to the gills with what he learned in reynosos camp. but i also believe he doesnt really want to box, and have a long career. So either way he'll get 5 or 10 million dollars for one training camp and one night in the ring and then can go try to parlay his fame into something in entertainment.

if he was really interested in giving himself the best chance to win he would have been active and worked his way up to that level of opposition progressively as most prospects do. and he would not have caved in on the weight

I think most younger fighters are not gonna be in it for the long haul. Fighters are fighting way less than ever.

I don’t expect Ryan to win. But I think he’ll go down swinging. They legit dislike each other. My guess is Ryan will get off to a good start but will eventually run into something big, and that will be that.

Never before have I wanted to be more wrong about a fight pick.

Garcia has "leap-amateur" writen all over him, but lets face it Tank can't really box either.

I still like Tank by stoppage, because according to lore, "the leap-amateur WILL get tagged" usually.

This doesn't make any sense. You disparage the guy for not fighting anyone (deserved) but when he finally agrees to do so he doesn't deserve it? wtf?
