Welp, fight week is here gents! I'm excited. Not THE most excited I've been for a fight. I'll be far more pumped on Taylor-Lopez fight week. But this is a semi-compelling matchup that is sure to end in a stoppage either way.

I'm done predicting shit but I'd be very surprised if Garcia stopped Davis. I think Garcia has to box him. All night.

Could be wishful thinking, but Gamboa has a worse chin than Ryan imo and he went 11 or 12 with Tank.

Logic still says Tank but I don’t see an upset out of the realm of possibility if Ryan’s corner has done their homework and come with a good game plan

I mean Tank has lost a lot of rounds in his last 5 fights.

The issue for Ryan won't be winning rounds. He may very well win the first 3-4 rounds. But Davis always lands big eventually, and when he does, I don't have a lot of faith in Ryan's chin. I also don't believe Ryan has enough experience to survive after getting badly hurt.

I know my opinion isn't the most popular; most are saying Garcia needs to box for 12 rounds to win. I don't see it that way. I think Ryan needs to go in there with the idea of pressuring and stopping Davis. I don't think he can outbox Tank for 12 rounds. Shakur could, but Ryan isn't on Shakur's skill level.

It'd be nice if @ILLUMINATI could make us all feel like it was 20 years ago, and keep a record of each poster's prediction.

My pick is Garcia by decision.

Do I feel good about that pick, not really.

I also predict Tank will talk to the crowd during the fight and if he loses or doesn't do very well, will claim a hand injury.

Davis does feel like the type who will offer 10,000 excuses the day he loses.

This fight could very well be like KingRy's bigger bro Danny Boy vs. the vaunted puncher Matty Ice in where the puncher gets tamed for 12 rounds despite nearly everyone picking Matty Ice to win

Garcia has got to box him and just keep it tight while avoiding going into a shell at the same time. I can see him being defensive saying "he never hit me" and dropping a decision that he could have won.

You gotta have a defense to go defensive. I've never seen an elite defense in Ryan.

To Ryan's credit, he DOES have a stiff and fast jab. That could give Davis a lot of problems.

I feel like Ryan is a guy who could have benefitted if Manny were alive. Steward could have probably gotten more out of Garcia's tools than any living trainer of today.

Ryan would have found mannys fees too high... Better men than Ryan fell out with Manny. Guys like Holyfield for example.

I’ll go with the upset, Garcia by TKO 11 on a cut. Tank has power and a knack for landing at the right time but he’s not active enough and he’s 6 inch shorter than a fast guy with power and a good jab. It’s also the outcome I prefer, so I’m basically going with my heart over my head and I try to justify it overstating Davis’ weaknesses and Garcia’s strengths lol.

I haven’t been this excited for a fight in a long while!

The hype for this fight is real...the barbershop, work people are excited for this fight...haven't heard so much talk about a fight since Fury vs Wilder III....and of course everyone is an expert. People want to put money on it...2 hours later they text asking what's the difference between a KO and TKO..

Garcia is still a bit of a question mark , we know he's good but how good actually is hard to tell. Nonetheless, I give him a big chance of pulling the upset as I don't think Tank is that good of a fighter himself at 135.

    Agreed. The buzz is huge.

I really think this will break 500k buys, despite Neil's low prediction.

    I'm thinking 700k. I don't think it's crazy to predict that.

Yeah I’m thinking it’ll be around the 500 K mark. I’d be thrilled if it did more than that, of course.

Tank & Ryan saying this is winner takes all. They claim they're putting up their entire purses lol

It's an obvious stunt to sell tickets to guys like us who know the sport, but all the casuals on Facebook are thinking it's real.

"Tank & Ryan puttin up they whole check bro!"

Lol. Amazing how gullible some people are.

I'll plump for Davis by tko mid-late. Garcia's jab is too weak to keep the thing at range, it goes to the mattresses, Davis's strength & shorter punching all day.

It's been awhile since there's been a fight where I've wanted so badly to be wrong. Everything that I'm saying Ryan is not, I'm hoping he is. Davis needs to go. For the life of me, I'm not seeing it though.

I mean, either that or he has to bank on Tank being unable to handle his power and handspeed.

He's the most explosive hitter Tank has ever faced, so I guess there's a chance...

Not a good chance, but a chance.

I do think Ryan will land. The question is if he can his money punch flush enough to do serious damage.

That left hook to the body could jump out and bite Tank any time. Might not get a ko at that level but could be a tide changer

This is how I see it more and more. Garcia ain't all that (at least this far in his career) and I think he'll struggle mightily at the higher weights against boxer his height. He seems susceptible to a power puncher because of his stifnness, and I feel like a good jabber will easily disrupt his rythm due to his poor footwork (technically speaking as he is quite quick on his feet).

However, at 135 lbs, maybe even at 140 lbs, he's a beast and will be hard to beat due to his size, power, speed and good sense of distance. This does not bode well for Tank imo, who's so much smaller and too economical with his punches.

Of course Garcia could get caught, or maybe Tank gets on the inside consistently and we realize that Garcia has no idea what to do there. But I think the most likely scenario is Garcia dictates the pace with his jab, throw his power punches from a safe distance and survives a few rocky moments to get the UD
