If You Actually WATCH Shakur Fight, You'd Refrain from Calling Him "Pillow Fisted"...

No, Shakur Will NEVER Be Mistaken for Tank, Inoue or Wilder in the Power Department, But he Damn Sure AIN'T Devin Haney Either...Haney's TRULY a "Pillow Fisted" MuhFugga...

As REED Said in a Soooon to Be Released Video, Shakur Throws STINGING Punches, ala., a Pernell "Sweet Pea" Whittaker, for Example...

Despite His KO %, How Many Guys DEFIANTLY Walked Whittaker Down, Walked THRU His "Pillow Fists"???...Few, if ANY, Right???...That's Shakur...& Like Shakur, Sweet Pea was Also FLAT FOOTED, Standing Right in Front of His Opponent Faaaaaaar MORE Often Than Given Credit For...

Shakur's Most Recent Opponent (Top 10 RING Magazine Rated Lightweight @ the Time) BOLDLY Claimed Shakur LACKED the Power to Keep Him Off...2 Knockdowns, a Body/Head Ass Whupping and 6th Round TKO Later, He Knows DIFFERENT...

Granted, REED Personally Wouldn't Predict Shakur to STOP Tank, but Even w/Their Drastically DIFFERENT KO %'s, Tank's Actually More of a FINESSE Fighter Than Shakur Is...And Seeing How UNCOMFORTABLE Guys Like Pitbull, Rolly, Hector Garcia and Particularly Ryan (Up Until he Got DROPPED) in Round 2 Made Tank, it's DIFFICULT AF Predicting Tank to BEAT Shakur...

Shakur Ain't the Hardest Puncher But he IS Offensive, Make No Mistake...& He Can Stand Right In Front of You & RARELY Get Hit...Beyond That, Peep a Pic of Tank & Shakur Standing Side by Side Sometime. The DIFFERENCE In Size is Wider Than You'd Think...

    Forgot about Regis....

VERY Interesting Fight, May Even Require the More MOBILE, DEFENSIVE Minded, Featherweight Version of Shakur (Stylistically), But Yes, Give REED Shakur...

He's AS Tall if Not Taller than Regis and Could FRUSTRATE Him Tactically...Again, Shakur MIGHT Just Have to Deviate from the More FLAT FOOTED Approach He's Employed Since Moving Up to '30, But it'd Be Enough to OUTPOINT, if Not Put Some HURT on Regis...

I think that fight makes sense for all parties involved next for Stevenson

    @ WHAT Weight Though???...Shakur JUST Had His 1st Fight @ '35:Dont:...

Regis AIN'T Coming to '35 & Even a Catchweight Might Be DICEY for Him @ This Stage of His Career...

Sure, Tank's Moved Up, Down and Back Up Thru Divisions But That was Against Guys Like Santa Cruz & Barrios...Regis AIN'T a Guy You Do That w/Unless the Money is EXTRA "Right"...Like, for Real, if Regis Wouldn't Come w/a CAREER HIGH Payday Attached, it Makes No Sense/Cents for Shakur...

stevenson nor prograis can get big fights so it makes sense and i think both would take it

it makes sense for him because he can go another year or two without getting a high profile opponent and he certainly has the frame to go up to 140. i doubt he sticks around 135 long unless he can get lomachenko or davis. no other opponent is worth him sticking around there for

Isnt it doubtful he'd face prograis given the ample TR opponents nearby?

Prograis is a free agent. Easy to make a fight with him. Taylor won't stay at 140 if he beats Lopez. Lopez vs Stevenson is another possibility but idk bout that happening

Bill Haney Said it's NOT Set in Stone Dev MOVES UP After the Loma Fight...

The Haney's Would Likely Want to Work on the Same Free Agent, Fight By Fight Basis Regis & Mikey Have Done, But There's Been No Reasons for Team Haney to NOT Want to Do Business w/Top Rank Again, in the Immediate Future...

As Tank and Ryan PROVED Last Night, No One Gives a Shit About Haney, But as a Hardcore Fan You HAVE to Respect his Claim as Undisputed Champion...& Honestly, it's the Only Shred of Leverage/Marketability Dev Has...

Even if Dev BEATS Loma, His Value DECREASES a Bit By Vacating & Moving Up to '40, @ This Point, Even Knowing it's Not "Easy" for Him to Make '35 Anymore...

I would say it's not merely weakening him to make 135 its cutting muscle and very detrimental. Staying for a davis fight makes sense but not for Stevenson financially

That's Just It, Arum Would Have to MAKE it Make Sense...

Top Rank Will Have to OVERPAY Just to Retain Haney and ALL the Lightweight Belts as Is, Assuming the Loma Fight Plays Out as Most Expect..But REED Thinks Shakur Would GLADLY Take the Ass End of the Purse to Become Undisputed Lightweight Champion...Shakur's More Willing to GAMBLE On Himself than Probably ANY Fighter Currently...

The Weight Cut Will Be RISKY Anyways for Dev, as we've Seen with Teofimo, Ryan and Josh Taylor @ '40...The Question Is, How Much is "Uncle Bob" Willing to OVERPAY If/When Dev Beats Loma???...

I find it sad that the careers of Shakur and Morrell are blossoming, and Boots is still stuck in the same spot. Fuckin sucks.

Well, they're both Black, and they both beat their baby mamas. That's where the similarities end.

As expected, I'm seeing FB comments that Tank would KO Floyd, Pac, Oscar, Chavez, and Duran. Saw it coming from a mile away.

I wanted Ryan to win, only because I can't stand Tank.

I was the first to call Ryan "Bojado." Looks like the name should stick.

I'll be happy when Shakur beat the shit out of Tank.

Can't wait to see Morrel fight again!

I dunno how far Bojado would have gone, but I'm 100% sure he would have gone further than Ryan if he wasn't such a lazy fat ass. Bojado had actual skill, he wasn't a leap ammy. He might have been doomed anyway though, because he had guys like Floyd, Cotto, and Hatton around.

Bill and Devin would make a huge mistake staying at 135. Looked horrible at the weigh in for his last fight. The ONLY chance I give Loma is if the weight cut is too much for Haney. He's clearly outgrown the division. Staying there is too much of a sacrifice.

    "HOWEVER"

If he does sign the contract to fight at the weight, don't want to hear shit about the weight cut.

As far as no one caring about Devin that is and isn't true. From a mainstream standpoint I guess. But that's more of a social media thing. I'm guessing folks fancied Garcia as a DLH clone but forgot the bit Oscar can actually fight.

Tank is more like wilder. Exciting because of the KO's but honestly hasn't fought tough competition.

Both Ryan and Tank might be more relevant in the short term but as things are, historically Devin is hands above both. Are they fighting for social media respect or boxing respect?

Back to milking GBP fighting c/b level fighters…I don’t see him EVER stepping up against a Shakur, Loma, Haney, Teo level fighter…

Ryan will stop one or two journeymen, then I could possibly see him facing Kambosos.

Overall, pretty disappointed in Ryan. He should have gone out on his shield. I don't subscribe to the notion that he took a dive; it's clear that the body shot really put him on his knee. But could he have gotten up before 10? Yes. He simply chose to stay down, because he realized Davis was too much for him.

I’m rooting for Ryan to come back and at least have a decent career. He might be annoying but I think he’s a good hearted kid.

As for Tank, I see the exact same thing on FB and YouTube that @Xplosive is seeing about Tank being an all time great and that he will KO the likes of Duran, Whitaker, Chavez, Pac, etc. and how him and Floyd would have been a great fight at 130-135… I will say no more.

The sooner a fight with either Shakur or Devin is made, the sooner we’ll see how limited Tank actually is.

To be fair to Tank, I thought he fought a smart fight saturday night. I understand the uppercut really helped but still he negated Garcia's jab and left hook and positionned himself in a way where he wasn't open for the lead right. No rocket science but Garcia couldn't adapt. I think some body punching would have done wonders but Garcia was too dumb or too scared to try consistently.

Garcia didn't go much to the body because he didn't want to get clocked by a left hand... which he still got clocked by anyway
