It’s possible this fight never happens. But if it does, I’ll go on record and say I have no doubts Shakur beats Tank up badly. I think he’s too good with his jab from the outside and too smart and technically sound to fall for Tank’s traps.
Same…..if it happen Shakur will dominate Tank…it will be such a performance that Shakur will jump from #9-10 p4p to #1 and most people won’t complain. Shakur window to be the next Floyd, De La Hoya, Tyson, SRL $$ superstar will be open…
Shakur is on another level compared to the guys Tank has beaten. However, the same can be said about Shakur, he hasn’t faced a puncher as deadly as Tank and we haven’t seen him take a good punch. It’s a fight that most definitely needs to happen at some point.
I don’t think he will…he knows he’s better than everyone at 135 + he knows Tank is the A-side so he will take what he can get…and beat Tank ass in the process…
Shakur will take short money to fight Tank…because if/when em he beats him he will also acquire Tank HUGGEEE fanbase…. Other than Canelo, Fury, Wilder..Tank is the biggest name $$$ in boxing.
It'd Be Interesting AF to See What Happens if, If, IF Tank Landed a Counter Left Hand, But That's the BIGGEST of "If's" Due to How SOUND Shakur's Defense Is... More Likely, Shakur's Gloves/Arms/Shoulders Would Take SOME Zip Off the Handful of Shots Tank Would Land...Meanwhile, Tank Would Be Eating Southpaw Jabs, Crosses and He'd Get RAPED to the Body, Round After Round... Tank Would Be Completely DEMORALIZED Mentally & Physically and Either Get Stopped Late or Lose an Extremely WIDE Decision, Like 10-2 or WORSE... Shakur's Bigger, Taller, Stronger, Younger, Better Skilled, Possessor of a HIGHER Ring IQ and he's Just as Fast Twitchy, if Not Moreso....WORST Possible Matchup for Tank @ '35... REED Wouldn't Miss it Though, if the Bout Came to Fruition...It'd Be the MILLENNIAL Version of Floyd-Zab, In Terms of Resonating w/Urban Audiences... REED
Why the hell would Tank want to rematch a guy he already beat handily in a fight nobody wants to see or pay for?
Handily? It was the toughest fight of Tank's career. I thought Tank won, but the fight was close. He even resorted to "hand injury."
His point still stand. Why would tank fight him again, since he clearly beat him, the fight wasnt particularly good, and wont bring him a good paycheck (relatively speaking of course)?
I understand, however, George scored it a draw or close Tank win. Double L said it was a good close fight. I had it a very close Tank win, so describing it as a clear win is subjective. I digress, my point is that if he didn't want to re against Cruz, his toughest fight, IMO he isn't going anywhere near Shakur.
