Regarding Donovan Mitchell, I always thought he could be a #1 in the mold of a DWade. Now I don’t think so. He’s got too much of that Anthony Davis in him where he’ll show up but isn’t playing like he really wants it. This is his second playoffs in a row where he just didn’t bring it or even seem to totally try to.


Heat-Knicks - I thought Miami’s playoff experience and poise won that game for them. They just stayed calm and within themselves and after the first half I never felt the Knicks were going to win.

Barrett was terrible for them. I thought in the first half he had figured some stuff out and apparently he really must have thought so too. He was forcing actions and not giving the ball to Brunson at the end. I remember him screwing up 4 or 5 consecutive offensive possessions trying to be the man when the fact is he just isn’t that dude. Best he can ever hope is to one day be the third best on a championship team but being second seems highly unlikely and first seems straight up impossible. Personally I think he’ll just be a run of the mill rotation player.



Warriors-Kings - I knew the Kings were in trouble when early in the game it felt like they were playing better, yet I look up and they’re only up by four. In the second half Steph took their souls and other than maybe Fox and especially Murray I thought the Kings looked visibly scared, especially Sabonis who never really played well in the whole series. Same with Heurter, he sucked most of the series and I thought they played him too much. I would have went with Barnes over Heurter. Actually I would have benched Heurter for good after at least the third game. They kept playing him thinking regular season Heurter was going to show up.
