You either like him or you hate him.
Sort of in the same way it was when Naz Hamed was rocking the boxing world.

    Overrated? By some.

    Underrated? By most.

either way,..Davis, like Hamed,..is great for boxing.
    Especially now days.

Boxing will miss him when he’s gone….just like we did with Hamed.

    exciting

    WAR Tank!

Tank has fought way better competition than Haney, Stevenson, Teofimo and most lightweights

He hasn't fought better competition than those guys. He's closest to Haney but I'd put two wins over Kambosos, and wins over Linares and Diaz above wins over Garcia and Cruz.

Neither of them are better than Valdez or Conceicao either.

And there's absolutely no fucking way they're better than Lomachenko. Not in a million years.

Tank's skill gets underrated, but I think most people rate him pretty fairly. Probably second or third best in his division, with virtually no chance against the best at 140.

However, he is not great for boxing. Ducking top fighters, fighting for bullshit titles and using catch-weights and rehydration clauses is exactly what's wrong with boxing and Tank's in the forefront for doing it.

REED Appreciates Tank; How Can You NOT Appreciate a Certified KO Artist???:Dont:...

Like Pre-Fury Deontay Wilder, There's an Undeniable ALLURE to 1 Hitter Quitters, Only There's More SCIENCE, More THOUGHT To Tank's Approach Than Wilder's Capable Of...

Sure, Tank's Got Some Out of the Ring Baggage, But Most Fighter's AREN'T Choir Boys or Boy Scouts, Unfortunately...

That Said, Anybody That Generates Over 1MIL Buys as the A-Side of a PPV is GOOD For Boxing, Undeniably...Tank Brings EYE'S to the Sport That Otherwise WOULDN'T Be Tuning In; That's GOOD For Boxing...

Without Some EXTREME Cherry Picking, He Has NOfuckingBUSINESS @ '40...Even @ '35, Tank's @ a Perpetual Height/Reach DISADVANTAGE, Unless he Faces Pitbull Cruz Again...Loma Beats Tank, Shakur EMBARRASSES Him, Puncher's Chance vs Haney....

Tank Davis is AMONG the "Elite" Lightweights of Today, But Tank Davis Damn Sure Ain't the BEST Lightweight of Today...REED Still Appreciates Him for WHO/WHAT He Is, However...

Very good fighter. I don’t think he’s the top guy at 135 but he’s a player isn’t he division.

Little for the division,…always gives up the physical advantage.

Boxing ability, ring IQ, speed and reflexes..and then BOOM

Why would they call out the fifth best in the division?

I appreciate Tank for being one of the sport's best punchers of the last 10-15 years.

I don't appreciate his resume or him as a human.

Garcia is the 5th best in the division? Surely this must be based on physical talent, not skill or resume

Speaking of Ryan, it’s now official that him and Goosen have parted ways.

He’s a great puncher and also entertaining who always brings KOs but his resume is still thin and he’s obviously been protected. It’s hard to say how good he really is until we finally see him against a truly elite fighter that can test him.

I think Tank gets neutralized by both Haney and Stevenson.

I can see Tank fighting the Keyshawn Davis vs Frank Martin winner, or somebody like Kambosos.

I mean at a minimum I'd put him at five for all three. Clearly behind Loma, Tank, Stevenson and Haney.

I know a bunch of people at GBP and let it be known that I would relocate to train him, lol. Expectation isn't high but it couldn't hurt to try...2 days before they officially split.

Do you think you could turn him into a combination of Carlos Monzon, Manny Pacquiao, Nicolino Locche and a sprinkling of Jack Dempsey?

Tank is A side against anyone at 133-40. He can make 10-20+ million fighting Haney/Loma winner or Shakur OR he can fight any easier random opponent and make a cool 5-10 million…

So he deserve an easy fight vs a random for 5 million after the prep, hype of the Ryan fight…but after that, it has to be either Haney or Shakur in late 2023/early 2024..
