Lara is up there in age now. He has better skills than Danny but at this point he might not have the punch resistance or stamina to win.

Danny's only hope is that Lara is shot to pieces and rusty. We all know that Lara in his pomp would have beaten the dog shit outta Danny.

I couldn't believe it when I read the title, but IF Lara is badly regressed, who knows. Prime for Prime, it's a horrific mismatch. Big 154lbr who more than contained Canelo Vs a guy who was being shoeshined by Khan? Damn.

If Lara is still 50% of the fighter he was 4-5 years ago...he will win this easily.

That's a weird fight. Aren't both of them retired?

Referencing Khan fight is strange considering he brutally knocked Khan out.

If there's nothing else on that night, I will. It's not like I'm looking forward to it though.

It’s Equally “Strange” to Simply IGNORE How Khan-Garcia was Playing Out Prior to the Aforementioned KO…

I think Danny would have beaten Khan 10/10 times. He was simply a better fighter. However, Danny has always been shit against southpaws. If Lara can turn the clock back even a little bit, he should cruise to a decision. If he's a corpse, Danny has a chance.

Looking Good in 2-3 Rounds of a 4 Round Fight is IRRELEVANT???…

Did Khan Lose BADLY, Yes, But Shit Happened Prior to That, Right???…To Call it Irrelevant Makes it Seem Like Garcia Stretched Khan w/the 1st Punch He Threw, in Round 1…

For the Record, as a Show of CONSISTENCY, REED Also Credits Ryan for the WAY He Fought Round 2 vs Tank…

Shit Obviously DIDN’T Work Out, But Name a Fighter That’s Had Tank Under MORE Duress Than Ryan Garcia Had Him, Prior to Walking into the Lefty Counter in Round 2…???

Yes, Ryan Eventually LOST, But Are You Telling REED Round 2 is Irrelevant???…

Danny was the wrong style for Khan. He is willing to exchange punches every time Khan opens up with his little 3-4 punch flurries. Garcia was willing to just start throwing at the same time and get hit himself to land his own big hooks. Horrific style for Khan.

He did get the better of him after he hit him in the neck with a home runner. And Khan finished that fight upright. I'm merely asking what chance Garcia would have had with a tall slick southpaw survivalist based on what I saw on the Khan fight. None is the answer.

Weird fight... can't believe Garcia is making a lot of dough for this and on paper he's a big underdog. As most already mention though, Lara is getting up there in age and he s quite inactive so he might be totally shot by the time he steps in the ring. Still a weird gamble to take for Garcia imo (unless there is gym talks of Lara looking awful in training)

When you consider some of the other guys PBC has at 154, it is clear why he chose Lara.

It’s obviously a risk, but a calculated risk by Team Garcia. They clearly see this as their most winnable fight, because Danny sure as hell ain’t beating Charlo at 154.

Lubin is a fuckin garbage fighter. It wouldn't be a shock to me if Danny beat that palooka. It's not like Lubin is Spence.

He probably lose to all (except J. Rock, he'd be a solid favorite imo), but he's live against Mendoza and Lubin imo. And a W over any of them (save J. Rock again) would carry more weight than against an inactive and irrelevant Lara (who really blew his chance by staying on the sideline following his ko of Cornflake).

Nothing on Lubin's resume suggests he'd beat an accomplished fighter like Danny. He's trash.

    Danny would beat J-Rock now.

He would get schooled by the J-Rock who beat Hurd.

But J-Rock is a shell of that fighter now. It's crazy how fast boxing moves. J-Rock and Hurd are both shot now.

Danny and J-Rock are probably friends, though. I wouldn’t expect them to fight each other.

I forgot about Hurd. He was never same after the fight with J-Rock.

Danny is obviously way past his own best. I don’t expect him to get in there with a young contender at this point in his career. He’s likely just looking to get a couple pay days, and one last title shot, presumably agaisnt the Charlo-Tszyu winner and then he’d probably call it a day.

Dunno if the patented Garcia winging left hook would work on a 154-lb Lara as old as he is
