Fight is tomorrow. Id love to see Loma pull it off but he’s gonna have to really push hard for it and not give away early rounds. He needs to go all out and not give Haney any chances. We’ll see how much Loma has left and if we can actually see a good fight without much spoiling.
Undercard seems to be interesting as well. Oscar Valdez vs. Adam Lopez, 10 rounds, junior lightweight Raymond Muratalla vs. Jeremiah Nakathila, 10 rounds, lightweight Andrew Moloney vs. Junto Nakatani, 12 rounds, junior bantamweight – vacant WBO junior bantamweight title
The only strategy for Loma is to try to get Haney to come to him. If I were Loma I wouldn't even come forward, just stay there poking out his tongue and talking shit, backing away. Haney isn't as comfortable on the front foot - and he's talked all aggressive like he's gonna beat down Loma. Loma should say "righto then big fella, do it", so he can bring Haney into his range, slip and counter. If Loma tries to advance on Haney and slip inside, he'll get picked off by Haney's rangey and accurate shots and backpeddling skills, or get hugged to death, I think in my mind. Haney via close decision, but I'll put some $$ on Loma for an upset decision.
Loma needs a KO to win, I'm hoping he gets it. I think there's a better chance than some may believe. Haney will get hit by punches he doesn't see coming. Combine that with Haney's lack of recuperative powers as seen vs Linares, all it will take is one well placed, timed shot, and sneaky shot which Loma is very capable of doing.
I kind of agree though I m not sure we can firmly say Haney lacks recuperative power or a chin. Sure he looked terrible in the Linares fight after getting wobbled but it might have been a learning experience or a freak occurrence. However, as you mentioned, Loma is quite sneaky and compact with his punches, and even though he s not the biggest of puncher, he will tap that chin regularly (at least early), and some of those shots Haney will probably not see coming. If his real self was exposed in the Linares fight, then yes he's really susceptible of losing by ko. Interesting fight
At this point, yeah, I'm rooting for Loma. Garage nose and his daddy are annoying AF. Head still says Haney by decision though. I think he's too big and rangy.
I thought Haney looked quite likeable in the face to face talk he did with Loma. Unfortunately, he basically destroyed all of it with his foolish push at the weight in
I mean, a weigh-in push isn't enough to turn me off from a fighter. Weigh-in pushes are so common, you'd end up hating every guy... it's a non-story for me. I don't even pay attention to weigh-in pushes. Haney just irritates me in general.
Aye Haneys pretty grating. Seems like one of these guys who needs to lose himself in his own bullshit to get in the right headspace. Alot of the times when he's talking he's not even looking at anyone he's just spouting his talking points like an affirmation to himself. Loma looking at him going on about '4 years, this is personal!' like....*shrug*
JOM: I don't have to take this. Punk: You certainly don't pal, because the GOOD NEWS is, you're fired. The bad news is you've got, you've ALL got, one night to keep your accounts registered. Oh, have I got your attention now?

Agree that was basically a 2 handed ungloved punch not just a shove. Could’ve broken a clavicle or a fall could’ve also caused injury. In any case its cheating and shouldn’t be tolerated by the sport..
If Loma was Shoved OFF a Stage or Platform, Sure, a Fine of SOME Sort Might Be Suitable, if the Bout was Compromised in Some Way...But There was Double Digit Grown Ass Men Surrounding BOTH Fighters, So NATHAN Drastic Was Going to Happen Either Way... 25% is Absurd...REED Doesn't Believe Tyson was Fined ANYWHERE NEAR 25% of his Purse for BITING OFF a Piece of Holyfield's Ear...
