Yeah, City are massive favourites. They look absolutely untouchable right now.

Either Milan retains its status as the only European city with two Champions League-winning clubs, or Manchester becomes the second. Rooting for Inter.

I agree, Coventry should be bigger but they just can't compete with the other West Midland clubs in terms of support.

I can't stand Luton, horrible fan base, but I have to admit it would be some story coming back from where they were not too long ago, Conference to Premier League.

If this about the time Luton supporters murdered your parents just get over it already. That's football.

One of Luton's players has played with them in four different divisions. If they go up then it'll be five. That's mad.

Citeh's passing and movement was too much for Real to handle. They looked at the peak of their powers. Going to be tough for United to stop them in the Cup final.

I'm rooting for Inter too, but... their chances are grim as fuck.

I hate City, but they have more guns than Chicago.

City have too much in attack. I hate to say it, but they are the best team in the world.

NUFC finished with a flourish tonight. A 2-2 draw was basically all LFC had to look at. Can't see NUFC fucking it now. They could but momentum is with them.

Incredible comeback from Sheffield Wednesday. 4-0 down from the 1st leg. Won 5-1 last night (5-3 on pens).

City were amazing on the field but the whole occasion rang hollow like when you tap the plastic fake gold bits in trump tower.... bunch of gawking Chinese tourists in the crowd passively filming the goal celebrations for tiktok like they're watching Justin bieber climb out a sports car. Proper city fans must feel like Tony Montana in the restaurant : is this it, Manny? Is this what it all about?

I don't have respect for anybody who who became a fan of Citeh after the buyout and subsequent financial doping. (with the possible exception of kids who grew up in Manchester who happened to grow up during it)

That's where I draw the line too. I begrudgingly accept the paradigm of modern global football. It's a business, all are welcome, welcome all, cash dollars, foreign owners, pre-season tours to Indomicronesia on the Yangtze etc but....when it comes to agonizing your way through a Monday night encounter at Stoke with 3 points on the line and you've not won a title in 30 years then I'm like Willem Dafoe in Born on the 4th of July...I'm like..."you never put your soul into that war,you weren't even fuckin there maaaaaan"

Oh well come what may Liverpool are guaranteed 6th but probably will secure 5th. Not good enough but a damned sight better than what seemed likely a few months or even weeks ago. Hopefully we can finish strong and carry that form into next season.

Presuming we don't fuck everything up on in unbelievably catastrophic way, we need more than Maddison to sustain a challenge next year. We've no squad, just a very solid first eleven, and we've gotten by this season with no Europe to worry about.

The talk here is of at least four first team level bodges, just to maintain a top 4 spot. I'd definitely take Maddison, though. He's quality.

I don't know what the story is with Mane, but he's linked with a move back to the Premier League and most likely back to Liverpool. But, a move to Newcastle could happen if the money is right. That would be some signing.

Not that I agree with it because I want an excellent team to stay together, BUT if I was Newcastle owner I would look at some of the Napoli players, especially Kvaratskhelia. That would be a huge statement signing.

I thought United had hit rock bottom 3 years ago but City taking the treble, at United's expense, by beating United in the final the same year United got sparked 7-0 by Liverpool and found themselves courting Qatari ownership is about as bad as it gets. The very year United marked 10 years since winning the league.

Don't see it. We've not looked at that kind of player at all since the takeover.

I'd imagine the 'big' clubs will have first dibs on the best Napoli players.

Congratulations to Newcastle United. Liverpool gave it a good go down the stretch. But you finish where you deserve in the league, except in blindingly rare instances, of which this is not one.

Feebles is right to presume nothing for next year. Arsenal came from nowhere to mount a very credible albeit flawed challenge this year.

The year after Liverpool finally hit back into the CL we finished 6th. It's a huge step up to move from trying to get something to trying to hold onto it. Robbing a bank is one thing. Perfecting the getaway is another.

Suddenly you're playing Dortmund or Benfica away and you're away again 3 days later in the league and before you know it up shit creek with 10 guys on the treatment table.

Anticipation gives way to expectation. Unrealised expectations give way to resentment. Suddenly the vultures are circling. Guys happy to put a shift in last year are now Big Mr Large and their agent is "having a word". Guys happy to get 10 minutes last year are miffed cos they didn't start against AC Milan at the San Siro.

Trust me it happens. Problems come out of nowhere.

Enjoy the feeling, enjoy being a player when the prelim draw is made and the Group Draw is concluded. It's nice to be at the big table.

Then people start trying to rob your food.

Chelsea have appointed a proper manager. They have some good players. They'll get more.

    Spurs,simply, can only improve.

People like Brentford etc will be out there trying to throw a massive spanner in the works.

    So it's not easy.

Liverpool will spend and Klopp will make improvements (albeit he always makes them slowly)

With TAA pushed up, Mane possibly returning, and Gakpo and Nuñez looking good, who knows.

In a way I'm glad this one's largely over. I'm tired of being terrorised every weekend. The enjoyment has gone out of it.

I actually agree with Keys. City are slow-walking this. If they're ever found guilty they'll have put sufficient time between their deeds and their hour of punishment to leave their deeds untarnished.

The reason the EPL doesn't force the issue is because they don't care. Pigs rolling in shit want more shit, not less.

Pruning is laborious and it's only done to boost fruit harvests. In this case, rampant foliage is the goal, so put that secateurs away lads. We're getting bumper harvests as is, why get busy pruning things?
