Okolie has been a disgrace in this fight. Presuming he's lost, and he must have, it is entirely deserved. What a shameful exhibition of cheating that was from him. MTF
Okolie had it coming and the odds were already stacked against him at dean court...have to laugh listening to Johnny Nelson sputtering indignantly at Okolie's "style", Nelson was cut from a very similar cloth...the guy who won though is a ham and egger, can't see too many defences
Damn Lara showed nothing at all for Wood this time. Wood just played it safe and showed just how limited Lara is, although he did what he had to do to win.
Nelson was a fast lithe guy out of Wincobank. Okolie is quite the opposite. A stiff fat guy who took up boxing to confront personal demons. Nelson was himself, especially early in his career, a hideously negative boxer. His approach was all the more infuriating considering how athletic he was.
Ok, notwithstanding I've not seen the fight.... .... This is the sort of domestic bullshit that needs calling out. 3 by 10-8 plus (-) 2 is 8 points in the hole. So - 8 off the cuff. 112 points is 4:8 in straight rounds. Won 4, lost 8. That means somebody was giving Okolie 9-10,10-10 in rounds he got dropped in or otherwise lost a point in. Fine. Take the rounds he got docked a point for holding. Say he's winning them. Cool. 2 by 9-9. Now give him 3 by 10-8 against. 42 - 48 7 rounds left to judge and hes 6 points down. He's got to win 6 of those rounds with a share of one to pull out 112 points and a draw. That means Billam Smith only gets a share of 1 round he didn't score a KD in and it also means he was losing BOTH rounds where, for some odd reason, his opponent felt the need to hold. Its POSSIBLE - and that's the big problem here. Its explainable. But we all know its BS.
Yeah, all of those current guys are pretty basic. No harm in them having a bit of hype locally and making money, but it's sickening to see this being promoted as world class when they are barely above regional level.
I dont know about impressing, but he won more rounds This wasn't a prime Lara yesterday, he was SEVERELY weight drained!
Yeah but "getting caught" if you're world class shouldn't mean you turn into a wet rag.....it's not like Lara is Ruben Olivares.
