Agreed, I don't think he looked as terrible as advertised. Martin was very negative all night long and while Lopez didn't looked too hot, I liked that he didn't get frustrated and kept his composure throughout. Nonetheless, Lopez seems like a guy who's size and power is a big part of what makes him effective so his potential at 140lbs and above is a huge question mark.

Lopez is a good bet in this, the underdog right now at a little over 2:1. That line is no doubt getting pushed by UK fans, so may as well cash in.

I'm mad as Hell. Both the Knicks and Rangers are outta the Playoffs. Meaning that - Taylor-Lopez could have been in the big room at MSG, instead of the Hulu theater.

As for this fight, I think Lopez should take it. I think he fights TO the level of his opposition and with so much riding on the line, I’m thinking he won’t make the same mistakes he made against Kam. Josh Taylor is also looking a little shop worn and the weight cut clearly affects him.

Give me López youth and speed to get a late stoppage.

I did. I wanted it to a big draw. I'm just saying that I'm not really shocked that it isn't turning out to be one.

I'm not gonna be going btw. I thought about it at first, but parenting obligations make it difficult. It's just gonna be a lot easier and cheaper to watch it from my living room.

Yeah, I just don't understand why it wasn't scheduled in Scotland. Seems like promoters like to lose money...

To be fair to the fighters, TR has done a pathetic job of promoting it. Not even a fucking press conference.

As for Fimo being a New Yorker, Fimo is the least known NYC elite fighter I've ever seen in my life. Usually popularity comes with being an NYC fighter - but not with Fimo. NYC doesn't give a shit about him, and doesn't even know him.

Shakur and Haney are bigger names in NY than Fimo is.

Enough about the crowds/promotions, let's just focus on the fight.

I'm going with Fimo because I'm worried about Josh running into shots he doesn't see coming. I'm also worried about his face not holding up.

Right?! The Card is Being Held During PR Weekend Too, if REED's Not Mistaken...Again, it's Surprising the SMALL Room Can't Be Sold Out, @ Least...Capacity is Like 5,600...

Looks Like Top Rank SHAT the Bed on This Promotion...Granted, They Invested a LOT on Haney-Lomachenko...

Berlanga is the best known NYC fighter amongst mainstreamers. If Berlanga was still with TR, and they put him on this undercard the day before the parade, it would have sold out imo.

Right. Nobody knows who the fuck this kid is.

Honestly, the last Islander who was really becoming a star amongst Ricans was Verdejo's psychopathic ass. That was until, he started looking underwhelming.

If he kept winning and looking spectacular, Verdejo looked on his way to becoming a Cotto-level star.

I won't say Tito-level, because Tito and Gomez will always be the most beloved Champs from PR.

Verdejo looked to have potential but yeah once the level of competition went up it became clear he wasn’t that guy. I can’t see any fighters from PR currently that really have that pound 4 pound potential.

Josh will be wearing Ken Buchanan's kit into the ring with him, thus already jinxing himself.

I guess no one told Josh that the last time Buchanan faced a Latin fighter in the Garden, it didn't end well for him.

This is truly a must-win for Lopez. If Josh were to give him an ass whipping, I think he'll mentally fall apart and fall off the top stage forever.
