Have watched some brilliant documentaries recently on Netflix. The Untold docs are especially very good.

Everyone’s been talking about Squid Game and I have to say, it’s actually pretty good. I have two episodes left and I recommend it. It’s a Korean show with dubbed English and about the worst thing I can say about it is at times some of the dialogue is bad in different ways such as being over the top, to corny, to cringe, to over dramatic. But it’s only at times and doesn’t take away from the show. 7/10.

Watched Somos. A spanish speaking mini series with English subs that was highly entertaining. Apparently this show was based on a true story of a mexican cartel wiping out an nearly an entire town of people. The show doesn’t center around the massacre however as that only takes place in the final episode. Instead the other 5 episodes (6 in all) introduce you to many of the towns characters and their stories problems etc. I recommend it.

    THE LITTLE THINGS

Caught this tonight. It’s got a mediocre 6.3 on IMDB and I guess that’s about right. Decent cop thriller everyone does there job up to snuff. I recommend it if you’re looking for a decent movie to kill time. It’s pretty flawless but won’t knock your socks off. 6.5/10

Halfway through watching it, enjoying it, it's more a mystery than horror, the lead is good, havent seen him previously

If you think it was good, wait until you see it 2. And I disagree, it was definitely a horror movie.

And yet didn’t they just raise their subscription fee?..Again.

There's a lot of assholes out there. Netflix knows the game. I just think their material is not good. Lot of I Know What You Did At The House After The Wrong Turn Summer of Love Pie etc etc etc

I thought it was v good, even if the ending was a little too neat and would not be too sure at all it can sustain form into season 2, can imagine it being more of same without the novelty.

Finally got around to watching this and I must say it was worth the wait. Decent cop movie nothing special about the story but what makes it stand out is the acting and dialogue. There’s enough action for a dramatic cop movie of this level but I rate it higher on the drama scale than the action by far.

This movie really makes me miss Chadwick Boman. I always enjoyed him as an actor but this movie made me realize how underrated he was. His acting although very good isn’t what made him stand out though. Rather I think he had that same special kind of charisma that made a decent movie better just by him heading the main character. He had that Deniro, Denzel factor IMO and we’re all going to be poorer in film by his absence. 7.5/10

    FUBAR

The new Ahnold series where he plays a retiring CIA agent who goes on a final secret mission to save another CIA agent. The agent turns out to be his very own daughter who he raised his whole life and thought was a teacher or something. Anyway, cringe acting, mixed with your typical over saturation of try-hard comedic dialogue. Ahnold really looks out of place here trying to be an action hero at his age. However, I think this show could have worked if a better company that knew what it was doing had taken the reins. Having it done by Netflix you just knew it was going to be mediocre.

Me and the missus was looking for something to watch on a Sunday and tried this out. By the last 15 minutes of episode one we both started looking at our phones and didn’t bother watching any other episodes. 4/10.

I don't think Arnold has been in a good movie or show since Eraser. That was the final good action flick of his career, and Eraser is now 27 years old. So yeah, that tells you everything you need to know. He hasn't been worth watching for nearly 30 years.

I don’t think he’s been so bad since then. He’s not been a headliner for a while though but unlike most I actually enjoyed Terminator Dark Fate. I hate Eraser, I thought that one Collateral Damage and the 6th Day were all bad choices that contributed to the end of his successful leading man status. End of Days wasn’t as bad but it probably didn’t help either. On the contrary although I haven’t seen it, I actually heard Stallone’s tv show is pretty good.

    FILIP

I saw a trailer of this on Netflix and it was sold as an undocumented Jew working at a hotel in Europe and banging all the female guests who's men went off to fight.

Although that selling point did happen in the film it wasn't the overall focus. What I wound up watching was a deep, emotional film of a man dealing with living in an occupation in his own way. It was definitely a drama and a good one. As far as films about undocumented Jews dealing with Nazi occupation goes, this one is pretty high up there.

The story is based on an autobiography and the lead actor is phenomenal as he really reflects so many of the emotions his character goes through. I'm not a crier and this film almost bought me to tears and it's one of those films you'll be thinking about days after watching it. The biggest knock is it's dubbed English but if you like dramas I highly recommend this hidden gem. 7.5/10

Don't know if it's on netflix but I watched that "End of Watch" and was pleasantly surprised by how prescient it was and how it had the balls to present the matters it touched upon .

Really? I have zero interest in it. When I look at a picture of the real Griselda and then the actress they got to play her, it makes the fiction too hard to ignore.

Blue Eyed Samurai is pretty good. Pretty cool story.

I watched a couple of episodes and couldnt get into it. Just got too much going in my life. But if you like samurai stuff I hear the new Shogun series is good being compared to GOT.
