10th and 11th were Loma's clearest rounds of the fight, by a good margin. I don't understand how anyone could score either of them for Haney...

I've always said that's part of the flex. Get right up in our grille and just tell us how it is. Then they stand back and let the hacks go to work on the narrative.

Teddy Atlas demanding investigations.....he's a determined man is Teddy and he's at least consistent. He wants the judge subpoenaed:Jest:

Imagine a boxing judge before Congress or some shit. Trying to explain why he scored a round the way he did. I'd pay $49.99 to watch that.

Great. That was completely uncalled for and could have had disastrous consequences

Agreed, as soon as I saw it happen it made me want Loma to win even more. I not only wanted Loma to win but I wanted Haney to lose, if that makes any sense. I guess in a way, Haney did kind of lose as so many people are questioning the decision as well as how good he really is. This certainly hasn’t been a celebration tour he’s been on.

We saw a similar thing happen during the Shakur Stevenson weigh-in where he shoved the Japanese opponent for no reason. I imagine Haney was following Shakur’s example and it’s a sign of immaturity on both boxers part which is worse regarding Haney because he’s older. The worst part was unlike Shakur, Haney showed little to no apologetic behavior or even any real respectful post fight greeting to Loma that I saw.

Haney-Loma did about 150,000 PPV buys, per Fat Dan.

That's exactly around what I figured it would do. In fact, it performed a bit better than I anticipated. I was thinking 120,000.

Im out of the loop when it comes to ppv numbers. Are these good or bad?

It'd be a fucking disaster if Tank-Ryan had done those numbers. But I think it was expected here. I think 200,000 would have been seen as a big success.

haney got 4 mill and lomachenko got 3 mill. the fight generated 9 mill. depending on how many of the purchases were digital, it either broke even or made a slight profit.

*sorry, the PPV was $50 so it made 7.5 mill and barely broke even at best.

Quite shocked to see Haney was paid 4 M too. Is he really a name in America (at least, in some ''part'' of America) ??

I’m tired of hearing how bad a robbery this fight was.
    I scored it a draw.

Loma just looked a whole lot better than most thought he would.
But he sat down in the 12th.

    that’s on Loma

This might age badly when Tank levels him with one shot- but I wont be surprised if we end up favouring Shakur over both if we're having this convo in 10 years. I think his skills are special

Mosley didn't really do shit at 135. John Brown. Phillip Holiday.

I'd have liked to see him at 140 for a more rounded appraisal of his skills.

Also battered Lejia and was the first to stop John John Molina.

Mosley beat up Lejia a HELLUVA lot more impressively than Tszyu handled him, and it was against a Lejia who was 5-6 years younger and sharper than the version Tszyu faced.

If Mosley had decided to make 140 his long-term home, then I don't think Tszyu is in the HOF now. Mosley would have surely taken the division from him.

Mosley-Tszyu would have been a fun fight, but ultimately I think Mosley stops him late.

Speaking of Mosley-Molina, I rewatched The Sopranos not too long ago. This fight is constantly playing on the TVs in the background. They obviously had to show an HBO fight in the background and it always seems to be this one.

There was a lot of swing rounds to me. In a lot of those rounds, particularly early on, neither guy stuck out. Haney would land some nice right hands to the body, and occasionally to the head. Lomachenko was effectively aggressive in spots. Sometimes he got that straight left hand in and would land some nice flurries.

Loma won the most clear rounds in the fight in the 10th and especially 11th, but they were just two rounds, and not 10-8 rounds. I had it 115-113 for Loma with a lot of close rounds both ways.
