He does have skills, but the problem with Teo I think is that his style depends a lot on athleticism and speed/quickness. He will have a short prime and as soon as he loses a half a step, he’s done full stop.

 

In Teddy Atlas' bubble of a world, the "Shortah" guy always has the edge in close, while the "Tawlah" guy always has the edge at distance, but this matchup must make his narrow head explode. Teo will pick Josh apart if the fight stays at distance, and Josh will tear Teo apart if it's fought at close range.

 

4 days! Won't lie, I'm kinda leaning Josh now, but "like I said before" it's my policy to not officially change picks on fight week.

I'm not gonna boast no matter who wins, cause like I said yesterday, I'm not confident in a pick either way.

What I WILL say is that, I'm now leaning stoppage. I think @Irish convinced me. Which one is getting stopped, I dunno.

 

I think all the ingredients for the stoppage are in place.....facial damage, lack of defensive skills, a belief that both guys "need" a stoppage, personal dislike, all of it.

Yeah, not a fan of Teo but I like how he says what he thinks (even if as you mentioned, he's no great intellect). And it doesn't come across as fake either imo.

 

I disagree. To me, it comes across as fake as fuck. He's a FAKE badass. He even had to quote Mike to try and sound hard, to which Josh accurately replied: "You're not Mike Tyson."

Real badasses: Hagler, Duran, Tyson, Toney, when they talked trash, it didn't feel like a facade. Teo is a mentally frail little boy compared to those four.
