Seeing a Puerto Rican report that Verdejo was found guilty of murder & kidnapping. He'll be sentenced in November. Unfortunately, the death penalty is off the table, but he'll almost certainly get life without parole.
I was only shocked it took the jury so long. He’s gonna get life for sure and because it’s a federal case, he’ll be taken to Boston to live out whatever days of existence he has left. Good riddance.
Murdered a woman who was pregnant with his kid. Either a mistress or his wife, I don't remember, but he kidnapped and murdered them (with his truck, iirc) then tried to hide the body.
It was his mistress. Supposedly his wife learned he got her pregnant and was furious. So to resolve the issue with her he kidnapped and killed his mistress. A real POS
He and his accomplice tortured her and drugged her up, tied her up to a cinder block and tossed her off a bridge and she drowned. Video cameras reportedly caught VIVID images of Verdejo’s face at the crime scene.
In a PERFECT World, Verdejo's Life Would Be Taken in the SAME EXACT Manner the Young Ladies' Life was Taken... REED
We can all hope that someone offs him in prison. Most likely, however, he'll just die of natural causes in that MF. Given that he's younger than us, I mean he'll probably outlive most of us. A shame. This was definitely a case where the needle was warranted.
Puerto Rico doesn’t have death penalty but being that it was a federal case, how he managed to avoid it is beyond me. That said, I wouldn’t be shocked if he offed himself like Aaron Hernandez did.
Yeah I've always thought life without parole is worse than the death penalty. The whole world going on outside those cell walls, life carries on, you're forgotten about, etc.
Working in the medical field, I’ve dealt with some convict patients and I see first hand what being locked up in enclosed areas does to a man. It’s like a slow death from the inside out in that they die inside first and then eventually outside. Many of them die with no family member even answering the phone to let them know that they passed. So while I’m surprised Pendejo avoided the death penalty, I think a crueler fate awaits him.
