Thsts a good one…Cotto went on to have a few good victories and headline many more ppvs. That’s why I want to see Spence fight a top 10 guy…

 

For me, this was easily better, because I predicted that Pac would wipe out Cotto. I'm not even pulling a Manny Steward, old threads would reflect that I said Pac was gonna destroy Cotto in one sided fashion.

This was far more unexpected, and far more impressive.

Yeah, i guess it will depend on what Spence does from now on. If he moves up and get beats by a Castano, it would take some luster off this victory. If he bests some good names at 147, 154 and/or 160, it make the win even more impressive

 

How competitive could Vergil be at 154 vs Boots in your opinion?

Btw Boots is a real talent but I'd like to see him vs a guy like Ortiz before he dives head in to the deep end of the pool vs Crawford on his very next fight. I think Crawford destroys Boots.

 

I don't think Verg is physically or mentally built for the elite level in this sport. Not physically, because he's sickly. And not mentally, because he strikes me as too much of a nice guy. Quiet guys who flip a switch and become ruthless and very mean in the ring, like a Boots, eat up cats like Vergil.

Midway through round 2, Spence closes the distance on Bud, and tries to out-muscle him... Bud pushes him off like nothing. That was the point that I already knew for sure Bud had it. I even remember screaming at the TV: "Bud is stronger! Spence is fucked out here!"

I didn't know it would become a wipe out, but I knew right then Spence was in a losing battle.
