Everybody would have taken a pacquiao fight at the time. I dont think that pushing for a Pacquiao fight at the time is a proof of ambition, just like pushing for a canelo fight now isnt. As i said before, his performance against Spence was admirable, but it wont make me absolve him for his years of fighting lackluster opposition (in fact, it makes me even more upset that he lost all these years fighting no hoppers, since he seems to have the potential to be an atg).

And to be clear, im not blaming him for not fighting boots, especially if the purse for such a fight is much lower than for the purse hed get for a spence rematch or a charlo fight (which is pretty much a guarantee).
