I don't think a rematch is necessary. Nav won 9-3 or 8-4.

I don't know what other options he has though. Unless, he moves up to 135 and fights Bozos.

Finally just finished watching it. Good entertaining fight. Navarrete pretty much got the better of Valdez in most of the exchanges and won 8-4. And he barely got a mark on his face. He’s such an awkward fighter but very effective and relentless. I think he showed pretty good defense too. Valdez kept loading up on his punches and relied on just one hard counter shot while allowing Navarette to put his foot on the gas. Good performance from Navarrete overall.

 

Let's see Shakur take on a real opponent at 135 before picking on a featherweight.

 

Navarette would have a tough scrap with that Japanese fella Shakur just destroyed.
