    YOU!

We've gone from starting Rondon (no hope of scoring these days) to starting Maupay (no hope of scoring since he got here.)

DCL aka Mr. Glass is injured again. We sold Sims. We have Harrison on loan from Leeds. Illegitimate grandson of George Harrison. Of course he belongs in Liverpool.

Yes, last season they just bought, bought & bought. This season they're still doing that but they've made some decent coin selling their players as well.

What added to the Chelsea comedy circus last year is that they had three managers and they progressively got so much worse as they went on. Potter wasn't half the manager Tuchel was and Lampard wasn't half the manager Potter was. And Boehly, American rich pussboy who probably hadn't watched the sport before 2020 was just throwing money at players who didn't even fit their system. What did he care? He doesn't know basic formations or strategies. And he's calling the shots on all transfers.

Typically wealthy guy arrogance if not outright narcissism. Because they've gotten rich they think whatever knowledge they've amassed is applicable to every business and every field on earth. Whether it be the drive-thu window at a fast food restaurant, a hospital emergency room or the design of a new aircraft they can straight head up each of them better than anyone. Of course when things fail it's because of other people.

One of the funniest stories last year is that when Chelsea were on a losing streak, Boehly barged into the dressing room to give the players a pep talk.

I'm sure that went over well.

Messi has 9 goals in MLS now, and he's still less than a month in. Making a mockery of MLS defenses.

I saw the highlights just now. Another superb strike.

That Taylor fella at Miami must be living the absolute dream right now. Going from non-league football obscurity to playing alongside Messi in such a short space of time.

Watching the women's world cup, I have to say the women's game has definitely improved in an attacking sense. Decent technique going forward. The goalkeeping and defending however, still shite.

True that, it is more watchable now as they move forward the ball quicker, the goalkeeping is hilarious though.

I have been watching the whole tournament. Spain v England on the final. I might have to call into work to watch that.

HITC Sevens (my favorite football YT channel) made a video on the topic we've long been discussing on here - why Mexico isn't a powerhouse in the sport on par with Brazil/Argentina. It's an EXCELLENT watch! Well worth the 30 minutes:

Everton played a behind closed doors friendly against Man U at Old Fagford. We lost 2-0. They played it since both teams had a lot of guys who were recovering from injuries and couldn't play that much in preseason.

They need to do a government investigation on how DCL is injured so much. He's injured after the summer break. He's injured after the World Cup that he didn't even play in. He's injured after Christmas. He's injured after the winter break. He comes back for two games, scores a tap in from two feet away then is injured again.

HOW IN THE FUCK IS THIS GUY ALWAYS INJURED?

The only player injured more than him is another Everton player, Jean Phillipe Gbamin. The biggest wage thief in the Prem.

Theo Walcott retires. He was a bit of an affleet footballer but there was a period of time where he became a very good finisher. Being chucked in to a World Cup in 2006 when he hadn't even played a match for Arsenal clearly didn't help his development but he had a decent career. Wouldn't mind seeing him as a pundit, he comes across as intelligent (for a footballer) in the interviews I've seen.

Liverpool were conspicuous in their failure to land certain preferred targets this Summer.

    Now I hear we've landed a 30 year old Jap for £16m.

He wore the #11 shirt at EFC. He was never going to meet the fans expectations but he had a couple of decent years with us.

You can't be delinquent on your membership fees, don't show up to the transfer policy meetings and then complain about the results.

Restate my assumptions:- trans national coach travel is for fucking desperate animals (like me).

It's really the lowest of the low. £24 for a return to Bristol as opposed to £70 for a train trip 1 hour shorter in duration..
