Dubois 'quit', there. I don't think there's any doubt about that. Which is a shame, because he was very much in the fight at the time. MTF
Been saying that for a while...NO FUCKING WAY USYK beat Wilder... Usyk will have to completely dominate then KO Wilder...or make him tip over from exhaustion..
Classy of Usyk to ENCOURAGE Dubois Afterwards, But Dubois Clearly DOESN'T Have the Heart for Boxing... No, Dubois' NOT a Pussy, He's NOT a Coward, But He's Simply NOT Built for Elite Level, Heavyweight Prizefighting...That WASN'T Exactly a Sonny Liston or George Foreman Jab that CONVINCED Dubois to Stay On a Knee Until He Could SAFELY Miss the 10-Count... REED
I think in my mind Wilder would be emboldened in the ring fighting a fat MW who got out-boxed by a WW Shawn Porter
I don't know if it's because I'm old now but I simply cannot watch most of the bullshit that comes with boxing now. The ridiculous pre-fight singers, video intros, after fight ring dancing and signing etc. It's fucking cringe. MTF
Usyk is very average at hw. Basically at Christ Byrd level. Yes it might be enough to bag a couple of defenses in this putrid era but Fury would humiliate him
LISTEN STOP crying now...you had your chance..you landed a few good body shots. But then you stop and got KO'ed by your weak HEART... Even in the excuse Dubois heart wasn't into the excuse.....
Hey, he can milk the ''body shot'' ko for another couple of good paydays so no need to go though hell to get the W tonight. Pretty much the mindset of the modern hw unfortunately. At least that's something we need to get Usyk credit for. He's really in there to get the win, not some kind of ''moral victory ' bullshit.
Frank Warren, of all the people in Christendom, on his high horse ranting about corruption, integrity and fairness. You simply couldn't make it up. MTF
Look, let's have it right. Dubois should have won that fight by KO in the fifth. But he didn't. And he didn't have enough about him to finish Usyk off when he had the chance, and he definitely had the chance, because Usyk didn't like the body shots at all. But at the end of the seventh, Dubios looked a bit like he was starting to unravel mentally, even though he was still very much in the fight. He won the eighth handily until he shipped four fairly innocuous shots then looked for somewhere to take a knee. He then took another as soon as the next half decent punch landed - a fucking jab - and watched a the ref counted him out. He should have won by KO but didn't and then he quit. That what happened. MTF
I missed it. But it sounds like Usyk was bailed out. Dubois doesn’t have the heart and mental fortitude to make it in the sport.
I missed it too. Was playing b-ball with my kid at the park and forgot all about it. Guess I didn't miss much.
Usyk complained repeatedly about non-lowblows and the ref was right there with him. His trunks were well above his belly button too. You cant have a 6 inch wide belt and then bitch when someone hits you there.
