    It might be common knowledge here but I just read it. The reason Frazier's fights were in weird locations is because he had to avoid states with strict medical exams for licenses. His eye was damaged to a point he couldn't pass a basic eye test. He wanted to keep fighting and didn't want to sideline his career with retinal surgery.

    Really? I heard it was because Dick Saddler owed options on Foreman for any fight that took place on the US Mainland. Hence Foreman fought in The Bahamas, Venezuela and Africa.
