I'd take Duran. Not many others, though. Even though he's a bit crude, I'd give Armstrong the next best chance. From there it's basically a few 50/50s and that's it IMO.
Duran would be the only favorite. The guy with the best chance, who still be a underdog, would be Ortiz.
Roberto Duran, Jose Napoles, Carlos Ortiz, and Henry Armstrong have the best shot against a peak Whitaker at 135. Ismael Laguna has a 50/50 chance.
Not saying he wins but at that 06-09 period Pacquiao had a style nobodys seen before, not even Pernel. Itd be fun
I have very little faith in Pac dealing with a prime Whitaker at lightweight. I think Pete soundly outboxes Manny at 135. 147 might be a different story.
I wouldn't say that Laguna is 50/50 with Pete, though I respect your view. I think Laguna's a difficult fight for Whitaker, but I see Whitaker as the favorite.
me 2…but Mosley would touch him and often(by Whitaker standards)…would’ve love to see how Pea would deal with it.
I don’t think Floyd matches up well with Whitaker. I think Pea would neutralize alot of what Floyd does well.
And too durable. If he could go the distance with DLH and Trinidad I don't think he gets knocked out by Mosley. I can see Shane beating him. I can also see Tank knocking Pea out.
