It looks like a hastily put together rec room in some dude's basement rather than an establishment

Gonna say it, Spurs may be genuine title contenders this year.

Agreed. I get what Irish is saying, they were extremely fortunate last night and Liverpool should rightly feel aggrieved, but Spurs are playing good, attacking football and rightly or wrongly have now taken points off Arsenal and Liverpool. I know it's Spurs and they're likely to Spurs it up as it goes along, just saying I would not be surprised if they're still there amongst it at the business end.

Jesus that's grim. I fucking hate places that look and smell like they were just bodged together, with chairs borrowed from some different room etc.

    :Jest:

Yeah it looks kind of like somebody moving in to a new place and sitting down to take a break during unpacking. The only thing missing is some cardboard boxes.

The essence of any pub in the UK is what Americans call the "liquor licence" once you've got that you're good .....literally everything after that is extraneous or optional. Seating, fresh air, clean glasses, all optional :Jest:

Brentford can kind of relax and have an off-season to some extent. Purely because there are way worse teams like Luton knocking about. Just keep the points ticking over and they'll be fine.

Cooper threw Origi on at 1-1 with 10 men. Foster probably looking at Luton and Wolves getting 3 points and not counting any chickens.

Yeah it looks quite shit but i really wish pubs were a thing in Canada. Of course pubs exist here but not only are there few, but they tend to be pricey and upscale. We don't have neighborhood pubs where no matter what part of town you live in you can walk down the street and have a few beers with the locals in a casual setting.

Funny. That's a pub I have been wanting to hit. It's Chris Difford's(from Squeeze) favorite pub and I guess he used to go a lot. On VH-1's Bands Reunited, that's where the film crew found him.

I am not the type of person to go up and start talking to people I don't know, especially famous people. But it would have been cool to see him there. But now I heard he and his wife moved to Surrey so that's that. I have never been in East London but I would like to check out the Deptford area. Squeeze and Dire Straits both came out of there. When I saw Squeeze in San Francisco, Glenn Tilbrook had a Charlton Athletic scarf behind him on stage. I think a fan might have thrown it to him.
