I thought Arsenal deserved that. Their defence was superb (have to say, so was City's, the goal was fortunate), Haaland didn't get a sniff throughout. Think these lot have learned from last season.

I think an injury finally forced Dyche to see what all Everton fans have seen for months. Play Garner and Onana in the middle. Stop starting the 33 year-old midget who USED TO BE Everton's best player. He's still okay to bring in off the bench but he's no longer a starter.

Arsenal-Citeh was terrible in terms of their attacks. Players' decision making were dreadful. Players' feet getting stuck in the mud. Haaland left feeling very frustrated by his midfielders unable to produce the right ball. But agreed that both defenses stood out.

And both keepers weren't tested enough. When players did decide to have a go, the shots went miles into orbit.

I resent these stupid international breaks more every time. Its like you're happily shagging your missus and some doofus in a see you jimmy hat appears at the door, says 'I need to borrow her for a while, ok bye' and just leaves you in limbo

It's made more annoying with all of these various cup games and Europa type competitions interspersed. How many matches are even played consecutively without all of these games of varying importance played?

Whenever England slow play down and play from the back, they're prone to making mistakes. When they play the ball quick and move, they're very dangerous. Bellingham is a game changer. Such a talented player. He's the key to England winning a major trophy, but it's the manager who's the problem.

Agreed that at this stage, the biggest obstacle England have to getting over the line may be the manager, having said that he's obviously good at managing people and given that v good English teams of past have suffered from lack of team cohesion, maybe he's a net positive :Dont:

Some of Southgate's selections are still baffling. Kalvin Phillips being an obvious one. Very little game time for club and country but still gets picked. Looked off the pace and his timing was terrible and could have been sent off.

Read about that on the train.....shocking but it shouldn't be. Seems he'd been around forever and would be around forever. Glad that it was early today so MOTD could do a segment and that United will have a chance to give him a right send off at Old Trafford next week.

I think it's just Geoff Hurst now? Crooks will be watching that space.....

Closest I've come to being a millionaire yet.

Celtic continuing to improve after a very poor start to the sesson. Just a shame we commited fitbaw harakiri vs Lazio, if we'd got the win we deserved there the whole complexion looks different. As is its pretty much already too little too late. Try again next autumn.

Aye Tynecastle. Hearts following this shite spfl trend, started by Rangers, of massively cutting away allocations. Proper nose to spite your face stuff
