How times have changed.

There are several thousand amateurs/mini tour players worldwide who in casual play are as good as majority of players on tour. But playing for $2000 vs potentially millions eliminates virtually all of them from performing well.

They take beta blockers to avoid the nearly unavoidable tension in a game where fine motor skills play a big role.

I'd say roughly 90% of high level(but not pga tour) players I have talked to have acknowledged the very high prevalence of both beta blockers as well as stimulants like adderall/ephedrine.

 

Can't they just get prescriptions for stuff like that?

The point is there are a lot of medical conditions they can be prescribed for. You find the "right" doctor and i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to get. They wouldn't even look at you sideways at pharmacies unlike some other drugs like opiates.

 

Yeah, the worst is when they assume that their favorite, who's usually a dominant champion/athlete, is in the clear (and I'm not talking about the ''cream and the clear' shit Mosley was taking ) but his opponents are on something.

A lot of idiots around here claim that GSP never took steroids but his opponents did. Motherfucker is so good that he can dominate PED enhanced top level competition while he's clean (let alone that his physique is clearly unnatural)?? Get the fuck out of here with that bullshit.

Either PED are not effective (clueless take), either drug testing is highly effective (clueless take once again) or either they re all (or at least the top rated athletes) on something (the reality).

 

Yeah i would imagine most the top level athletes or on something. It may not be to the levels of those who don't have to undergo any kind of testing whatsoever, but the there is more money in beating the tests so they will always be a few steps ahead.

People in boxing who have asthma can't use inhalers same idea. Like when Carl Lewis failed several tests for ephedrine and claimed it was in cold medication.

Adderall same idea. You'd be hard pressed to find competitive poker player / video gamer / high level chess player not using them. Not sure the legality in those competitions but in golf it is soft banned but everyone does it anyways and they are rarely tested.

 

Yeah I think people missing the point just don't care to do research or would prefer not to know.

I was posting all over sherdog for years leveling accusations at overeem, Anderson Silva, dillashaw, Cormier and getting all my posts deleted and sure enough 3 of those 4 have popped (all 4 used :) )

All you have to do is train at anything, see anyone before and after PEDs and realize literal average Joes can become top 1% in strength and muscle size by using steroids.

Same type of people who work out for a month and tell everyone how much stronger they feel, are the same type of people to say PEDs don't do that much.

I've seen countless naturals top out at 225 to 250 lbs bench in 5-10 years of lifting, shoot up into the mid 300s after their first cycle or two. You're on the mat evenly matched, then out of nowhere getting handled and sure enough the guy is trying out PEDs.

You really can't compete with athletic people on PEDs unless you use them yourself.

Jones tested positive vs. Cormier who wanted to fight anyways, and Cormier was flagged with a test level of 6600? And 2 days later a second sample was in the normal range . For reference the guy I knew in Nevada had excel documents of people as well as clean athletes who did lab work and 99.9% of people were between 300-1100 every test whether it was daily or a year apart.

Diet change/ fat loss/cold showers()/ physical training might move it by 100 over a several month period (and that's a maybe)

Sorry you don't go from 800 to 1200 ng/dl naturally let alone from 700 to 6500 back to 800 then to 300 etc.

These guys are taking fast acting novel testosterone agents that have very short half lives as well as test supression drugs to hide it. Alot of the fight cancelations are guys taking injections of more traditional cheaper steroids that take longer to get in your system and longer to get out and they know they won't pass drug test.

Not that it matters but people will harp on Jones for being a cheater and insist Cormier is clean while available tests show there is essentially a zero percent chance either was clean therefore they were on a level playing field.
