If beterbiev can't beat this dude it's because he has slipped immensely

 

I'm mostly excited to see Beterbiev back in action and hoping he makes a statement. This fight should give us an idea of how much he's regressed and if he's still good enough to be a threat to Bivol.

 

This fight won't be competitive at all. How did Smith even get a title shot?

Is he old enough that it's a bit interesting? Also yes.

 

I believe Smith has left Joe Gallagher, which means he might actually try this time.

It would admittedly be a stretch. Callum is very limited.

 

The Smith brothers are all pretty pedestrian imo. Decent fighters but short of being world class. Beterbiev should maul him.

 

Fights tomorrow. I don't think Smith will last more than 6 rounds, unless Beterbiev shows his age in this fight.

 

Agree with everyone. The main thing is Beterbiev has better feet, faster and better footwork. He should outmaneuver Smith. He also has more compact punches and better timing. Smith put in a survival mode performance vs Canelo and he does seem tough but this is another level entirely. I think he will get run over here. Flattened. Buddy McGirt will probably pull him out like he did Gatti vs Mayweather... if Callum makes it back to the corner. He can't control the distance and even people like Browne and Gvosdyk who are far superior athletes with 100x better movement couldn't keep Beterbiev at bay.

Agreed. His only shot is to go on the offensive early and back Beter up. That strategy probably gets him countered to death, but it's only chance.

If Smith is cautious at the start, and allows Beter to build forward momentum, he's already fucked.
