Calzaghe struggled against guys who were cagey, set traps, or ran.....his best wins were against guys who came looking for him or at least tried to trade :- Mitchell,Sheika,Lacy, Kessler,Veit,Woodhall.

It's part of why he looked so bad vs Starie a d so good Vs Lacy.

Evans Ashira, Starie, Reid, would have all at struggled with or been bashed by the likes of Lacy or Kessler

You tolerated Cory Stinks as a LEGIT UNDISPUTED CHAMP

    You'll behave yourself, forthwith.

Calzaghe said Lacy was 'shit' as he talked to his corner in, I think, round 2. He said it in the context of a guy who was expected to get brayed and then found himself dominating. Of course he's going to say things.

I hate defending Calzaghe. Never liked him and since he retired, I cannot stand him. But he's a great example of this thread, especially on this forum.

And Froch, who laid Taylor across the ropes after losing four of six round before outmanning him over 11.9 round, is also tainted by it. Funny, that.

Yep. To be honest, I wasn't all that impressed by Taylor. "He never really beat Hopkins".....

    Strawman argument.

You're shitting on Calzaghe win over Lacy and your defence for having tolerated garbage across marquee divisions for years is to....accuse other people of tolerating shit when that shit is light years ahead of the shit you tolerated..

Cool argument bro......I reiterate.....Cory Stinks was the man at 147 and everyone was cool. Don't talk to me about standards.

    You don't have any.

Fury fought the best uncle Sam had. Beat them all.

    Period.

I think he said "His power is fuck all".

By the way fighters talk shit between rounds. A lot of it. Herbie Hide said it would be "embarrassing" to lose to Vitali. Says it at the end of round 1.

Before he fought Marciano, Walcott said if he lost his name should be struck from the records.

    Great authority, that.
