Will Wilder make the HOF?

As pathetic as the HOF standard is, will they induct Wilder? God knows he doesn't deserve it, but I suspect he will get in.

What are they gonna say?

"With legendary wins over... errr, ummm... Luis Ortiz, and.... um.... no one."

But you know, popularity + knockouts + he's an American heavyweight = He'll make it.

Xplosive has hated Arturo Gatti ever since he told everyone that he knows that Terron Millett would take him out.

 

In modern boxing, with the proliferation of world championships available, it seems like everybody gets to be 'world champion' for at least a little while. It only makes sense that all those 'world' champions then enter the HoF.
And if Wilder gets in, they why not K9 Bundrage?

The counter argument is that it's the hall of FAME, not hall of excellence. Using this criteria, Gatti and Wilder definitely belongs. Yeah I don't like it and it's a slippery slope (why not Jake Paul then??) but popularity has always been a huge factor to get inducted

 

If wilder had beat Parker he'd have a stronger hof case than Parker does beating wilder

Broner has a better resume than Wilder.

Perhaps you can say that Ortiz was better than any single Broner win, but Broner overall has beaten more solid guys.
