We'll see how it plays out. Ryan did fight Dev on even terms in the amateurs, but the problem is, Haney has progressed since then and Ryan hasn't. I doubt very much Garcia can win, but there's just enough element of "maybe Ryan has a difficult style for Haney" to make me order it.
Ryan doesn’t have a chance at all, especially with those plodding feet of his. But, the fight itself will make a lot of money because of Ryan himself. For someone that hasn’t won a title it’s amazing how he managed to be a PPV attraction.
This one sure as fuck isn't gonna do as many PPV buys as Davis-Garcia. I wonder what it will pull in. If it hits 500k buys it should be seen as a massive success. I expect under that.
So Haney vs Ry in April, then presumably Lopez vs Matias in like May or June. Meaning I think we see Devin vs Teo in the fall.
"I am asking you guys to pray for Devin and his health. Pray his pops stops the fight at the appropriate time." - Ryan. Okay, Ryan... okay... Just let us know which round you plan on quitting.
Exactly. I'm picking Haney by stoppage. And I've NEVER picked a Haney stoppage before, only decision wins. But here I am. I think he'll get Ryan out of there.
I was just thinking: 24 years ago in a Mexican vs Black all California battle, we had Oscar vs Shane. Now we have these two... Yes, the sport has regressed.
That shit looked scripted as hell,. It looked like a bunch of highschoolers arguing in class. But they gotta find some ways to try and hype the fight. Garcia knows he can’t win so he needs to put on his bad-boy charade to get more people excited.
Mario Lopez's buddy Oscar missed that fight because he was dealing with death threats from the crowd.
It's worth ordering because a clown is gonna lose, guaranteed. 90% chance Ryan gets battered = A clown loses. The very remote 10% chance than Ryan stops Haney = A clown loses.
You and your off the wall predictions. You also predicted Berlanga would beat Canelo in 2 years. Haney is a slapper. No way he stops Garcia. Not that Garcia is all that but Haney is simply not a puncher. He punches hard enough to make his opponents think. Keeps them honest with his sharp punches. I can see Ryan quitting out of frustration.
In fairness, I predicted a year ago that your posting quality wouldn't improve. Sniper-level accuracy on that prediction.
It would've took Nostradamus returning from the grave for me to have believed his posts would improve.
