On for April 27. I feel like Jack Catt should win this one. For two reasons. 1. Taylor is now an alcoholic and is really not taking care of himself between fights. Looked visibly drunk at the first presser. 2. Taylor's dumbass insisted that the fight be at 140 - a weight he's been struggling at for years. On paper, it's Catterall's fight to lose. Not because Jack's a better fighter, but he's more serious about boxing at this stage than Taylor and has been taking better care of himself. Plus, he just seems like a bad style for Josh. Taylor seems pretty clueless against cuties. In order to win, Taylor would need to force the kind of pace he set against Regis, but chances are that version of Taylor is gone and not coming back.
I thought I was the only one, but yeah Taylor looked quite drunk at the presser. Lol. Doesn’t seem to be ina good place at all. I’m hoping for a good fight. The dislike here is as genuine as it gets.
Even if Taylor does win, he's done at top level. At 140, Haney would outbox him by a mile, and at 147 Ennis would rape him inside of 4. A domestic level fighter in Catt is all he has left.
Taylor has that Kovalev vodka look to him. Desperately trying hard to show hes not emotionally involved too. Just trying too hard.
Im intrigued enough to see how much Taylor has left. Won’t surprise me if Caterall wins this convincingly.
i heard the first fight wasnt even entertaining. not sure why taylor is fighting this guy again or fighting at 140 at all.
He's fighting Catt again because it's a big fight in the UK and from what I understand he's getting a very nice payday for it. Catt was his ONLY money option. What other fights are out there for Josh? There are none. Catterall is all he has.
Yeah, I'll be watching. I dunno if I would have bought it on PPV, but it's on ESPN+ in the States, meaning it's free since I have ESPN+, so I'll definitely tune in. I'm expecting Jack to win by UD or possibly even a late TKO if Josh is totally dead at the weight (which he probably will be).
I'll hopefully get a chance to tune in. Proper British grudge match. Makes up for Benn Vs Eubank somewhat. I hope that Catterall beats him again .
speaks to the lack of knowledge among the british boxing fan base. they settle for this mediocrity because two blokes talk a little shit to each other.
Yes, because knowledge of boxing informs the mentality of thousands of likkered up young men, the same as does equine management the motivations of the mob on Grand National day.
He wasn't a bully. He was marooned in the Pacific NW with a bunch of fucking weirdo kids and Martha Plimpton.
The vast majority of those who turn out for these 'events' now have absolutely no knowledge of boxing whatsoever. They just want to get pissed and sing the 'Sweet Mongalong' song on their TikToc live feed. Cunts, basically. That's Hearn's target market. And it works, because there are a lot of thick, gormless cunts out there. Nonetheless, this is a decent match-up. Catt was flat out robbed in the fury fight. There is no sensible way to score Josh the winner of that bout. It'll be interested to see if he has any way to somehow win it this time. MTF
Taylor doesn't look good, physically. Looks like Hell. Has the face of a man who lives hard outside the ring. You add up the fact that he hasn't fought in nearly a year, took a lot of punishment against Fimo, is gonna be weight drained, and hasn't won legitimately since the Ramirez fight... all this means that Catt can only blame himself if he doesn't win, because he should win.
Taylor is between a rock and a hard place here because he’s struggling to make 140 and has no business going to 147 either. I’m guessing the winner here will go against Haney later this year or early next year.
If Taylor wins, we might see Haney-Taylor, as Josh has somewhat of a name recognition in the States. I don't think Haney-Catterall would happen, even if Jack wins. It'd be hard as fuck to sell Haney vs Catterall.
