Feebles is right. There's a subtle understated nasty side to Klopp. If he'd done what he'd done and then answered the question it would be ok.

    "I'm retiring. Ja. So clever"

You have to think that's that for Bayern but I wish them luck. Dortmunds who I want to really see do it.

Let's face it, the usual corporate assholes want "Paris" Vs Madrid.

    Gaaaaaaaaaaay.

Madrid are so economical with their opportunities, you can dominate them in play but all they need is a few minutes in each half and a half dozen fast break opportunities and they're not worth betting against

Oh no doubt and the media wants that match so they can talk about Mbappe before, during and after.

I am cheering for Dortmund as well. It sounds like a good beer drinking place and they're underdogs so they have my support.

But if I ever make it to Germany, the two cities I am going to hit are Munich and Cologne.

I hope Dortmund wins the CL and Jadon Sancho scores the winning goal, just so United fans can cry.

BVB won't make the final but if they do he will get huge media attention because of that alone, even if were to be a non-factor in them getting there.

Munich definitely for the beer. Cologne for the Gothic castles (and beer.) I also would like to hit Hamburg because I'm a Beatles fan. But goddamn those three are pretty far apart.

Pleased for Sancho, he played great tonight. More proof that it was not him that was the issue, just that Man U is a fucking toxic club.

I've long regarded what's going on at United as being just that.....it's everywhere and it predated Ferguson's departure too.

I watched their wretched fans during the Coventry game when it was 3-3 and when the penalty shout was going against them.....silent, static, motionless and clueless.

When the shootout began to swing their way the "wanker" gestures and the jeering was suddenly back.

No bit of gladiatorial respect for the Championship side who had dragged them into the bowels of a shootout from 3-0 down. Nothing like it.

Prior to Ferguson's departure, Roy Keane infamously had referred to the "Prawn Sandwich Brigade"....since Ferguson, that has metastasized into something far more cynical and abusive.

And that's just the fans. They're living some sort of a phony existence where they think they're the plucky trier who is punching above his weight on a meagre diet of the occasional few £90m signings.

Then there's the whole after-stench of the last few decades, borne out by the incessant narrative-hawking and verbal flatulence of people like Keane and Neville.

They're all living on the fumes of yesteryear and are in denial.

Not one of them appears willing to accept that in a hyper-competitive era where nobody is afraid of them that the bullshit isn't cutting it anymore.

Internally....who knows. They had Ed Woodward in there and that was a disaster. The Glazers aren't really interested but the money has been there for transfers. They've signed really dislikeable guys like Maguire and Ratface. Rashford thinks he's Padre fucking Pio.

The managers they've hired-bar Moyes- have all been fucking head cases with some very very unusual ideas about what the club is capable of. Solsjkaer was a bit of an exception but he was burdened by his status as a club legend and eventually resorted to nonsense and was overwhelmed.

That said a lot for me. There should have been a soft landing for him but they just kept sending the guy out to die over and over and eventually sacked him and left the guy crying in an interview.

    Whole thing is a mess..

I was so excited at half time vs them last season. We'd genuinely outplayed them in the first half & it was off the back of beating the huns 4-0. Im like 'wait...are we actually really good now?' 2 attacks later, 2-0 madrid. Sit doon.

I won't miss him that's being honest but his achievements were still undeniable.

I don't like the Fire Vs Ice approach, Fire always loses out.

Leverkusen about to beat Roma in Italy. The unbeaten run across all competitions continues. Amazing.

It is mental I have to say, especially when you consider how many late equalisers they've pulled out of the bag (I'm counting at least 10 now). Hard to think of another somewhat comparable 'stars aligned' season ever.

Not always, and i'd rather watch a Klopp side than a Mourinho one any day of the week.

I'd also rather have him in charge of my club.

People will always say Klopp isn't great because he only won one title but honestly, context is everything. He was up against arguably the greatest club side ever assembled, with unlimited resources, a superb manager and a squad that essentially contained two sides (first XI and bench/reserves) that could have won the league. He was able to win a title and also went head-to-head in two seasons, missing out by a solitary point on both occasions. Also a Champions League win (plus two finals) and numerous cups. Like him or not, Klopp is undoubtedly a great manager for me.

That's the thing. Not many. Ferguson maybe, as much as I couldn't stand him he was a master at building (and re-building) great sides, and conquered many a behemoth in his time, I'll give him that. Wenger with the 2004 side MAYBE, but I have my doubts tbh. Mourinho bested Guardiola's Barca (the only club side that imo is arguably better than City) in La Liga, but again that was with unlimited resources and an incredible side. Liverpool aren't poor, don't get me wrong, but they still can't match City or Real in the transfer markets.
