What a weird outrage. Jack won 8-4.

Bellend on Dazn claiming that it should have been a draw but that Catt 'pulled it back in the last two rounds'. I'd challenge him to show anyone which six rounds Taylor won in the first ten of that fight.

    Ridiculous.

Just bizarre. It wasn't even a hard fight to score.

If you ignore who ‘pushing the pace’ and just focus on effective shots, you could make a case for 9-3 Catts. I have no problem with anything from 115-113 to 117-111. Like Bradley pointed out thats just a close round or 2 scored the other way. Outrage? Give me a break. Taylor looked like cold sweaty dog shit through 24 rounds with Catterall.

I had it 116-112. Can see a case for a round for either on each side of that, but that's it. There were THREE tight rounds to score. The rest were clear as day. That's the range. The outrage is nonsense.

Taylor should just retire now. While Catt isn't elite level, he's at least a decent operator.

If Josh continues on he's gonna lose to a domestic level guy.

I remember pre-Catt 1, like 40% of Eastside were saying that Josh could beat Crawford. lol lol lol lol

What in the living fuck ever made anyone believe that?

Anyone who thinks that Taylor has a case to have won that fight needs to stop scoring fights. Bellend is still ranting on, claiming that 117-111 is a disgrace, while simultaneously claiming that someone 'could have won by two or three rounds'. He's lost his mind.

Now claiming that you can't win rounds unless 'you are on the front foot, throwing punches'. What the fuck is he on about?

The ONLY fight that makes sense for Taylor now is a Regis rematch.

Both are washed up, so why not?

Isn’t it amazing how practically every decision in boxing comes replete with commentary demonstrating a complete lack of comprehension over the simple math involved with ‘10-point must’ scoring system.

Crawford's nationality and sheer stupidity. As I'm sure you know, many in ESB General just hate American fighters, Eastern Europeans are the darlings now. Some people still think that Lomachenko is a top 5 P4P fighter, and after the Fury win half the forum said that Usyk is the GOAT.

I have to be totally honest: Regis is my boy and though I'm no Taylor fan, i don't hate the guy either.

But in the grand scheme of 140 history, neither one is anything special.

Devon Alexander, now THATS a guy I disliked. But even a prime Alexander would do a number on Taylor and Prograis.

Now I'm watching the Mbili card on ESPN.

I'm kid-free today, which is a rarity for me on a Saturday. So I'm like the old X today, having time to watch full cards.

I wouldn't go that far personally. I'm not saying Alexander couldn't beat them but it wouldn't be a wipe out, whoever won. Although saying that, Alexander has the best win with the Maidana shutout, though I think that fight is a bit of an anomaly, personally.

Alexander had a really dangerous left uppercut against fellow southpaws. I think Josh would walk into it all night.

Alexander was totally totally unlikeable. Maidana was a strange fish. Guy got his head punched off by an antique Erik Morales before Morales faded. Got damn near stopped in a round by Khan. Hit Khan with his Sunday Punch abd couldn't stop him or drop him.

Max kellerman tried to bestow pfp greatness on him for stopping Urango but that was Hatton Hate on Kellermans behalf rather than any recognition of some true brilliance on Alexander's behalf.

Then there's the Timmy fight .......

Speaking of Khan. Prime Khan would have beaten Taylor, for as much shit as we give Khan.

He'd have been miles too fast for Josh, and Taylor doesn't have the power to get Khan out of there.

And yet came closer than the vast majority to beating Floyd. A very odd fighter indeed.

How about Khan vs Prograis? Something tells me Khan gets hit with something big whilst ahead on points.

I like Regis, but he has atrocious footwork. He also is easily knocked off rhythm when you jab him.

Khan had his limitations, but one thing he did possess was an excellent jab.

He also had a terrific left hook downstairs, I think it would have caused big problems for both.

Catterall... might actually have a decent shot against Haney. He's a FUCK of a lot better than Kambumzos, I'll tell ya that!

Haney isn't defensively inept like Josh, but at the same time, he's pretty vulnerable to straight left hands.

    I'd favor Haney though.

If Catterall fought say, Shakur, I think he'd be way out of his talent depth.

That speaks partially to the fact that the self-anointed GOAT wasn't as untouchable against pressure fighters as his cockriders want to believe.

I watched Floyd-Cotto again last week, and Cotto did WAY better than I remembered. Floyd pulled away from round 10 and clearly won, but it was a genuinely close fight up until that point. It was educated pressure and committing to the jab, plus punching WITH Mayweather up close that made it competitive.
