Single best one punch KO in history

Totally subjective here. In your opinion: Whats the single best one-shot KO in boxing history?

Youre allowed one answer and two honorable mentions.

My pick for best: Robinson-Fullmer II.

Honorable mentions: Marciano-Walcott 1 & Foster-Tiger.

 

tough to choose between 3 x champ Baileys uppercut vs Mike Jones or his first title winning left hook vs Bolillo Gonzalez

 

Not against a world class opponent but Arguello right vs. Rooney...

 

Always loved Jackson's KO of Graham

 

Robinson-Fullmer 2 is also my choice

Arguello-Rooney is definitely up there.

 

It's not even my favorite Jackson one punch KO.

I prefer Jackson-Drayton. The look on Drayton's face like "WTF was that???" followed by Julian pointing to the canvas.

 

Tyson-Botha is up there for me.

Not saying its the best but George's walking uppercut vs Cooney was one of the coolest. Just an old fat guy out for a leisurely stroll

 

It's not one usually mentioned, but I'm a sucker for a good uppercut and I love Spinks vs Pops.

Walcott vs Charles III and the already mentioned Foreman vs Cooney are great too.

 

Picture perfect technique from Arguello. One of the best.

 

Louis-Braddock. Clears away the left then the pendulum. Like some sort of industrial accident

 

Can't get a purer 'one shot win' than that, he did nothing else all night.

 

A lower level than most mentioned but watching this one live sticks in my memory

 

One of the sweetest right cross KOs of all time, easily.

 

Wayne could hit like a motherfucker, he had a few nice KO's.

 

Pacquiao-Hatton is up there for me.

 

Uppercut from hell.

 

Though I can't stand him, I think Davis-Santa Cruz is easily the best one punch KO of the last 5-10 years.

 

Martinez-Williams was a good one.

 

I think it might be the most “picturesque” uppercut knockout ever.

Along with others like Saad-Mwale, Spinks-Johnson, Tyson-Boyd, etc…

I second that! In fact, I was about to post that and had pretty much the same wording in mind!

 

It is one of my favourite knockouts ever, but being absurdly pedantic, I'm not sure it counts as a one-punch KO since he set up the monster right hand with the left hook. Probably just me though.

 

No, it definitely counts. The left hook, as you said, merely set it up. It was the right hand and the right hand alone that put him to sleep.
