Foden is the kind of player you build a team around. That won't happen, before Southgate will play about eight defenders. That's why England will fail, again.

He'd be the first name on my team sheet and I'd play him whether the fuck he feels best to play. He's the Gascoigne of this era and you work around him. That's what the best managers do. Build a system around what you have. He's what we have, so do that.

Southgate getting mad praise for his bravery of dropping Old Hendo and Faded Marcus.

He deserves SOME. They're easy enough calls.
If he could pick a squad of 40, they'd still be in..

Lucas Paqueta charged by the FA of sports betting. Allegedly he intentionally got himself booked on 4 separate occasions. Faces a 10-year ban if convicted.

This is the second time Birmingham City have done something like this recently.

In October, Birmingham City were 6th in the Championship. They sacked their manager, Eustace & replaced him with Wayne Rooney. Rooney wasted no time taking them from 6th in the table to 20th. He was sacked in January and replaced by Tony Mawbrey who then took them from 20th to 22nd & relegated to League One.

Anyone who hires, Rooney, Lampard or Gerrard as managers at this point deserves relegation.

Nobody knows anything, a lot of v questionable HR decisions...Chelsea should have stuck, United should have twisted earlier...agreed re Rooney, he'll probably be gone before October after a poor start...

Obviously time will tell but what do you think of Liverpool's new manager. Can't say I knew anything about him before they made the announcement.

V hard to tell with fresh Dutch imports, players or managers, haven't seen much of Slot's teams.

City well off it today, Haaland has had a pretty mediocre season all told, it's not so much not scoring goals in the biggest games (RM, Arsenal etc), he's contributed fuck all, completely shut out.

Man U did play well today, I'll give them that, but it's one of those papering-over-the-cracks performances they seem to always pull out of their arse whenever there's serious pressure on the manager.

High humiliation for the huns yesterday

Bunch of celtic fans ended up through the barriers and on the track
Delayed the medal presentation, trophy presentation while security shepherded em back in
So the players just had to stand there an extra 5-10 minutes
Some of their fans tried to hang on defiantly to clap the losers
But minute after minute of the whole celtic end gleefully singing 'go home ya huns' and 'oh the rangers are shite' got too much even for the union bears who eventually said 'fuck this' and traipsed out, dejected
Upshot being rangers had to hang on then do the walk of shame to a completely empty rangers end & absolutely febrile derision. Medieval town square execution vibes
Sorest defeat ive ever seen I think: so much so i experienced a tinge of sympathy for the whole manky lot of em. If they were dogs you'd send them all to the farm

Sorry Hut, I'm literally quoting this post just to get your attention. I remember you used to post this black American boxer who won in Japan (I think) and he put on an absolutely beautiful performance which I've been trying to find and show to people. His surname was something like Small or summat like that and it's been driving me nuts.
