Davis vs Martin

I think Tank may be underestimating Frank.
Thoughts?

 

Of course I'm rooting for Martin. Fuck Tank.

However, I'm not seeing an upset here. I think Martin will have early success, but once Tank finds the range on his power shots, it's only a matter of time.

Tank in like 5-7.

 

Though I hate Davis, fact is only 2 guys from 135-140 have the ability to beat him: Shakur and Teo. And both those guys have to bring their A+ games to pull it off.

Outside of those two, can't see anyone else at 135-140 winning.

 

I can’t see an upset either. I do hope I’m wrong of course. Martin is solid but doesn’t have anything that stands out, imo.

His best chance is for Tank to underestimate him and come in over confident like Teo did against Kambosos.

 

I’d like to see Martin pull it off but I’m really not sure of his chances. His last fight against Artem didn’t show anything that he has that would give Tank much trouble. But we’ll see if he surprises everyone. That’s the beauty of boxing, anything can happen.

Frank best chance is too come out aggressive yet w/ his defense level set at 8-10..so his usual self, to avoid Tank punches. But by round 3-4 Tank is going to start matching Martin footwork, figure out the defense/holes, timing his punches and it's going to be OVER..

Frank has some skills, a shame he has to fight Davis.

Haymon did right by Martin (spence). Assuming he is getting paid more to face davis than Stevenson. Otherwise he looks like a bitch. It looked bad but we knew he had the davis payday in his pocket

Highly unlikely Martin gets a decision over the a superstar like Stank if the fight is anything close. Martin will have to completely dominate just to win a close one.

 

Well,…I don’t want to see or hear anyone claiming that Davis doesn’t fight anyone.
Cruz is a beast.
Garcia is a train wreck, but he is dangerous.
And Martin is an undefeated and bigger guy.

Might be wishful thinking, but Tank is being more extra than usual. Seems to have some nervous energy that I haven’t seen him show before. I still expect Tank to win, but maybe something went down in that sparring session that has Tank rather on edge.

i dont know what was wrong with stevenson against delos santos but he was scared to death of getting hit by that guy. i wonder how he'll fight against a far more dangerous southpaw puncher.

 

I too have questions about Shakur after that fight. Something was off. We’ll see if it’s a one off.

Just saw the weigh in. Both guys look in shape. Tank doing his best to come off extra annoying and corny. He’s clearly embraced the villain role and his fans love him for it. If I ever wanted an upset to happen, it’s tomorrow night.

Could be that for the first time in a while/EVER he is fighting another brother...who has speed, defense, flashy, very good footwork, etc...

Tank has made a career in fighting tough but slow latino fighters...

Martin plain and simple isn't talented enough to pull this off.
