I don't have time to break it down right now but it could have worked out at Everton had he wanted it to. He's the Ryan Garcia of football with his social media or at least he was when we had him.

Very hard watch made marginally easier by the fact I was consuming volumes of beer ( 3 pints in 90 minutes) not seen since my 20s.

I took the game in down in Waterloo....hot sticky evening down here.

    The Spin:
    • England top group
    • England only side trying to win
    • England on easier side of draw
    • England conceded 1 goal in 3 games
    • England have game changers off the bench

    The reality:
    • England are on easier side of draw
    • England are still favourites
    • Others don't look unbeatable
    • In facts others look proper ordinary
    • England look low on confidence and creativity
    • England as likely to concede and go out than score and go through

Bellingham or Foden, doesn't seem to work with both, especially when Kane comes deep to join them

I defy any man to go through every game Foden played for city this year and show me one game where he was booked for forlornly arguing with the ref and where he took a hopeless swing at the ball from 20+ yards away.

He's being wasted. I saw him after not 10.minutes gone and turning his back on the ball from a throw in....not interested.

The third round of games has been generally awful so far...Italy Vs Croatia had some last minute drama but most of the previous 90 was dull.

I'd take England over Dutch but I would take Spain, France and Portugal over them, make them slight underdogs against Germany, and they could be easily mugged by Italy, Switzerland or Austria

I don't think Italy would mug England quite as much as they'd simply keep the ball and terrify them into mistakes.

England might as well just let Kier Starmer manage the team

Mainoo and Palmer should start the next game. Mainoo more likely to start than Palmer. I don't get why Conor Gallagher plays. I don't think he offers anything, other than running around like a headless chicken. Players like Palmer want the ball and look to make things happen.

England far too often gave the ball away. It's going to cost them in the knockout stages.

Relative to the quality of players available to the manager. That squad is clearly underperforming relative to it's capability. And it's mostly down the fact that there's a Champions League squad being managed by a Championship manager.

I'm not even concerned about that. It's the absolute lack of quality on the ball which is the concern. They are frightened to pass the ball forward or take on a man, to break lines and turn defenders. It's all safe, pointless ball possession in front of teams just for the sake of it.

There was definitely a massive lack of pace, movement, energy and positivity. It was far too pedestrian. It's got to be down to Southgate and how he wants them to play. To play like how we've seen them play so far. From what I remember it wasn't that different to previous tournaments under Southgate. Does he not want to let them off the leash or something.

And why the hell does Southgate experiment with putting players in different positions during a tournament?! I mean, you should know who plays where and what's their best position. There's been no injuries either to justify him doing this.

Be hilarious if they start the next game without mainoo or palmer & it wouldn't surprise me. Sheer chance leads horsey chops Gareth to the stream and he won't drink
