Growing up, I always thought “clap back” had a violent connotation. It meant you literally shoot back at someone with guns. Getting clapped is getting shot.

Nowadays, it responding to any criticism or insult or whatever. I’m always online and reading some website (often a mainstream one) saying “so and so claps back at social media jab” or whatever.

I guess Oscar just likes to respond to things on Thursdays.

I read a story of a stripper who called the cops on some guy who'd gone mad. He turned violent because he'd paid her to take a shit for him to eat. She wouldn't or couldn't oblige.
